**Tailed Beast Psyche Plain**

This was different. It was different from my encounter with the four tails and even different from my meetings with Rin. I could no longer see the battlefield, the man in the mask, or Kakashi and Gai Sensei. Instead, the tailed beasts stood before me, their hosts above them with Kurama behind me.

"Where am I?" I finally asked.

"The tailed beast psyche plain" The three-tails was first to respond but I found myself staring at his host. A kid that looked no older than me.

"Why is this so different from where I met Son Goku? There aren't any chains and..."

"Yes, well that jerk in the mask cannot penetrate this deep" Kurama explained.

"Exactly and on behalf of the jinchuriki and tailed beasts we'd like to thank you" The three-tails host began.

"Son Goku and Roshi wanted us to meet you on this plain. They connected to us before he was resealed into the body of the beast." The host explained.

"We promised Son Goku to wait for you so that we may give you something" The host of the six tails continued.

"Naruto step forward" The three tails host commanded and I did so as she introduced herself and the name of her tailed beast. The others followed: Yugito Nii host to Matabi, Yagura Karatachi host to Sobu, Han host to Kokuo, Utakata host to Saiken, and finally Fu host to Chomel. Once the introductions were complete they each put a hand or paw or whatever limb they could extend forward until each layered over the other. I stepped forward understanding what I had to do as I pressed my fist against the nearest limb. I felt their combined power flow through me.

"Isn't this sweet? I could almost cry," I recognized the voice immediately. The area seemed to get darker, and there was a sudden chill in the air. I could see my breath and the others looked unsettled. I felt Kurama draw closer as we all faced where the shadows had pulled too.

"No need for such hostility. I'm only passing through" He said with a chuckle.

"Where is Rin?" I demanded. I could feel him moving, but the Jubi didn't have a set form like the others. He moved like smoke or fog and faded when you tried to look too closely. 

"I'm afraid she is preoccupied, stretching out her own shadow to connect with the one she is seeking. I am here in her stead, but I will not lend my power to you Naruto."

"You know my name" I realized, and felt a sting in my palm.

"You are a part of me as much as I am a part of each of you," He replied with a chuckle. I looked at my palm as a dark mark appeared; like a streak of paint across my skin.

"The connection I share with Rin, they have it too" I realized.

"Yes, though your personal relationship with her makes yours much stronger." He went on. The shadows stretched out as they passed us, taking a piece of our own shadows with it.
