Kakashi

Naruto had said something was wrong with Rin, that she had lost control and it didn't take much more for me to take off. The clone Sai had left behind had vanished so I could only assume something happened to the original. With Rin out of control of the Jubi that put Sakura, Lee, Kiba and Sai in danger and maybe even Sasuke. I moved quickly through the forest, slowing only when I noticed Kiba, Akamaru, Lee and Sai. I jumped down beside them.

"Uh oh" I muttered. I glanced around, carefully looking at the area but there was no proof of dark chakra. This wasn't Rin. I approached Kiba and knelt, I lightly hit his face.

"Hey, wake up" I called and slowly his eyes opened.

"Where's Sakura?" I demanded and helped him sit up.

"You were in pursuit of Sasuke right? Which way did Sakura go?" I asked.

"Head north, about 2 O'clock. You have to go about one kilometer" He replied weakly before succumbing to his sleep. This must have been Sakura's work. A powerful sleeping potion she must have learned from Lady Tsunade. I picked up Kiba and moved him to a more secluded spot. I did the same with the others, including Akamaru.

"Sorry guys, I'm going to go ahead" I muttered. I took off in the direction Kiba had managed to give me. Sakura confronting Sasuke alone was a less than ideal scenario and with Rin out of control there was no telling the mess she had gotten herself into. I kept looking to the skies, waiting to see an eruption of black chakra but felt some relief to see that much of the surrounding area remained unscathed.

"There" I mumbled as I came to a clearing. Sakura stood above a red headed girl. To their left was Rin who simply watched as Sasuke charged up his chidori. I moved faster managing to come between them, I caught Sasuke's wrist pulling his chidori off course.

"You really meant to kill her, how you've fallen Sasuke" He seemed shocked to see me. I dodged his kick and managed to land my own, creating some distance between Sakura and him. I threw a shuriken in an attempt to capture him with the attached wire but it was deflected by a kunai. I looked to Rin as she jumped beside him and sure enough her sharingan blazed against her fully black eyes.

"Hn, just one after the other" Sasuke noted.

"Sakura, you intended to kill Sasuke by yourself, didn't you? There is no need for you to bear this burden when it was my cowardice that pushed you all apart as the leader of team seven" I told her.

"I once tried to put you at ease by telling you something irresponsible, perhaps I was just trying to convince myself. I'm sorry for being such a careless sensei" I apologized.

"But you're not" Sakura objected.

"Sasuke I've told you this before and I don't like to repeat myself, but I'll say this once more. Let it go, you've got to forget about revenge." I stated firmly and he laughed in response.

"Itachi, my father, my mother, my entire clan bring them all here to me and I'll stop right here, right now!" He shouted.

"I don't want to kill you" I replied.

"Do you really think you can kill me so easily? Stop acting like my sensei. Go ahead and try something if you like, I'm just itching to kill you Kakashi" He shot back.
