Chapter 14: Rin Uchiha [Shippuden]

Hello all! I know this took forever, the end of the semester was hell and I had so much to do in so little time. My brain was fried haha

But here you go! I hope you like it! This I would say is kind of filler, kind of not. Right now in the actual series Naruto is on his way to the island to meet Killer B, but we will be getting back to the main story in the next chapter :)

Also for those who have asked what Rin looks like and/or what her clothes look like for fan art and cosplay here you are!

Kakashi

Rin's training was coming along well. She had been practicing balancing both chakras in separate hands but at the same time. She was also figuring out how to perform the hand signs for dark ninjutsu and those for regular jutsu together. In short, she wanted to create completely new hand signs for this jutsu. Which wasn't completely impossible, many users of less common chakra natures did just that. However, Rin didn't have the advantage of past knowledge. Any history she could have used died with Orochimaru.

"I brought lunch" I called as I walked onto the training field. Rin was sitting on one of the posts with her legs crossed and eyes closed. She had her hands palm up and resting on her knees. In one hand was a ball of dark chakra and in the second regular chakra, both balanced. She brought her hands together, the balls of chakra vanishing as she began unfamiliar hand signs. I could recognize the half that was similar to the Chidori but the other I hadn't seen before. She pressed her hands firmly together and the air was still.

"Rin?" I called and she opened her eyes. I was a little startled to find the Sharingan staring at me, but in one eye the whites were dark. Lightning began to spark off her hands, but this time it was different. It almost looked black. She started to pull apart her hands, the lightning getting louder as it grew. I took a few steps back and thought she had it until it I noticed the dark chakra spread into her other hand. I jumped back just as the jutsu slammed into Rin and she was knocked off the post. I heard her groan and rushed over.

"Are you okay?" I asked, worried that she took a minute before she opened her eyes. Her Sharingan was gone, but the whites in both her eyes were now grey.

"Rin?" I questioned and she released an amused chuckle.

"She's getting the hang of it" She replied as she sat up.

"You're not Rin" I realized and she nodded.

"She wanted to speak with Itachi" She explained as she looked down at her hands.

"The dark chakra is overpowering, it will still take time for her to learn to balance both. Light and dark Kakashi, very tricky to combine but an excellent suggestion none the less" She commented.

"How do I know you didn't force control?" I demanded and she chuckled.

"Silly Kakashi, I'm sure you of all people would notice if I had forced control." The Jubi pointed out, it made me uneasy. I could see Rin, I could hear her voice, it was all her except for the sense of her. The energy she gave off when he was in control; like all that anger and hurt she held would come out at once.

"How long will you be here then?" I asked and she shrugged before stretching.

"However long she needs, Itachi can still be of some use. Though I'm sure she's discussing my proposal with him"
