Chapter 19: Rin Uchiha [Shippuden]

SO we have a lot going on in this chapter and I am so proud of this one and so very excited to get it out. I hope you guys enjoy it!

First I'd like to dedicate this one to -bubbleteaa who invented Rin's new jutsu that she has been working on for chapters and will finally use in today's update! :D So please go check out their page and give some much-deserved love. Second, we get some mentions and also interactions with some of Rin's ANBU friends. Yes! We are bringing back Akira and Korra, while Hibiki will only be mentioned in this one.

Kakashi

Word was spreading that Naruto had entered the field. His clones were reaching out to every division while what I assumed was the real him stuck with Killer B. It was a relief to know he had become a part of it all. It gave us an edge and to those that had seen him take on Pein, it gave them hope. The battle was tiring, but Rin had kept strictly to taijutsu with small doses of lightning and fire style. I knew she was reserving her dark chakra for opponents with a little more power.

"This is tedious, we're getting nowhere" Rin sighed as she pressed her back against mine.

"The sealing team needs us to disarm them before they can move in."

"Watch your legs" Rin warned as she jumped up. I followed as the wires became clear, snapping up from the ground and crossing over the field. Rin touched her katana to one of the wires, lightning followed, and again the lines went limp as he was forced to cut the line.

"Eventually he'll run out of wire, right?" Rin asked as we landed. I shrugged in response, unsure of how the blade worked, and listened for the second swordsman. His explosives were distant giving us time between their retaliation.

"On your left, the second is getting close. I'll ready a fire jutsu to get us ahead" I nodded as I turned to deflect the needlepoint blade and slid under the oncoming wires. I jumped over fallen soldiers and blocked the recoil of the blade sending it flying into the forest. I felt the heat of an intense fire jutsu as a number of explosions went off. Rin backed up staring at the damage, part of the forest was up in flames.

"I may have overdone it, but It'll be a minute before he reforms. See if the sealing team can find any part of them that they can seal" I nodded in agreement about to call for someone, but Rin turned so fast it startled me. I noticed the dark chakra circling her blade as she faced an invisible foe.

"Rin, what is it?" She slowly stood straight, her knuckles going white as she tightened her grip around her katana.

"I sensed something," She said slowly.

"Was it Itachi?" I asked, and she shook her head.

"No, but it's someone powerful. I can feel it, it's like something inside me just woke up."

"We agreed that until HQ calls for you, you'll stay with us" Rin nodded, her dark chakra fading as two other shinobi ran through the brush.

"Captain Kakashi!" Akira gasped. I was surprised to see them, or rather more surprised to see them without their masks.

"Lady Tsunade and Captain Shikaku sent us from HQ" We both faced them, and Rin returned her Katana to her belt.

"Why aren't you two in uniform?" She asked.

"We were sorted into support divisions, Hibiki is with Lady Tsunade" Korra explained quickly.

"But that's not important. Lady Rin has been called to the Fourth Division, and we have been asked to escort her to their location," I noticed Rin tense.
