Chapter 5 School I

Nina POV

I woke up in a bed, I felt weirdly warm.

I looked and saw that Louie was next to me asleep hugging me.

I hate to admit it but I loved hugs even though I never give them.

He started to stir and looked at me.

"Morning Nii, are you feeling better." He said sitting up.

I nodded and gave some signs.
"Much better, I didn't get you sick did I?" I asked looking at him.

"No Nii, I'm fine." He smiled "Do you school today?" He asked looking at me.

I nodded "Will you be attending today then? Because if you are we should get you ready." Louie smiled standing up as I sat up.

He held out a hand and I took it.

We walked to the dining room and saw Masaomi and Ukyo on a laptop whispering.

"What are they doing?" I asked Louie in sign.

He shrugged and we walked over.

"Hey Masaomi, hey Ukyo, what are you up to?" Louie asked.

Masaomi was so surprised with him asking, he fell back off his chair, while Ukyo shut the laptop.

"NOTHING." Ukyo snapped.

"Ow." Masaomi said from the floor.

"Oh Masaomi!" Ukyo said crouching next to Masaomi. "You okay?" He asked as Masaomi rolled onto his side to get up off of the chair.

"I'm okay." Masaomi mumbled standing up leaning on the table to get up.

"That's good." Ukyo said standing his chair back up.

Masaomi sat back down.
Louie and I sat down next to them.

"What's going on down here?" Kaname asked looking serious.

"I heard a loud thud from the balcony and came to see what happened." Kaname explained.

"Masaomi was startled and fell backward off his chair." Ukyo explained.

"You okay Masa-Nii?" Kaname asked.

"I'm fine, but as a note to self, don't do that again." Masaomi chuckled.

"You better not." Louie chuckled.

"What were you doing anyway." Louie pressed again.

"If you must know, we were um..." Ukyo started.

"We were planning on getting the family's DNA all tested." Masaomi made an excuse.

"Yes that it, to check were all healthy." Ukyo smiled.

It was sickening, I knew they were lying through there teeth.

"Lies." I said simply in sign.

"I'm sure they're being honest Nina, when are we doing the tests?" Louie asked.

"It's simple really, it's one you spit into the tube and it gets taken through a lab and then the results come a few days later." Masaomi explained.

He handed me, Louie. Ukyo and Kaneme a tube and took one for himself.
"Fill it to this line and that's all you have to do." Masaomi said pointing to a line on the tube.

We all did as told but I found it gross, I may be a jerk at times but I have some class at least.

I gave him his test tube and asked, "Why didn't you say about this before?" Louie translated for them and I waited for a response.
