Chapter 34 Aoi's Gone

Nina POV

I woke up from being shaken very violently

Who the hell wants to wake me up

I sat up and saw Zigro and Yusuke

"Sup?" I asked rubbing my arms and saw serious faces

"Aoi needs us" Z said opening the door

I got out of my bed and walked quickly over

"What do you mean 'Aoi needs us'? That doesn't seem good" I said sceptically

"His back, it is snapped and now he's in too much pain to move, its killing him" Z explained walked out the door

I followed with Yusuke not understanding

"Ukyo knows we're going out" Yusuke said as we reached the elevator

I nodded and the elevator opened

We went to the ground floor and were met with Mono

"Mono?" I said surprised

"Now isn't the time, Aoi is dying, he needs to see you Nina" Mono said griping my wrist and beginning to drag me

Mono lead us down an ally and into a new shack

I'd never seen it before, must have been Mono's hide out' it was neat as it could be on the street and it was of course, Monochrome, black and white

Go figure

Mono opened the door and the inside was just as clean except for one door that had scratch marks on it, like it was an animal who did it

Mono walked strait to the scratched door and opened it still dragon me with him

Inside was a single bed with Aoi laid on it and Yaza by the side
Aoi had a think cloth on his mouth and he looked like he was in a lot of pain

"Aoi? Are you okay?!" I struggled to get out of Monos grip on my wrist

I kicked Mono's shin and he let go

I ran over to Aoi and Yaza and looked at the dying twin

"What the Wib happened?" I asked Yaza

"We don't know, we woke up when Aoi started screaming, we rushed in and saw how much pain he was in. We stuffed a cloth in his mouth to bite on to muffle screaming and reduce pain but as you can tell that didn't work" Yaza explained

"As far as I can tell, if this pain doesn't go he get paralysed or stop breathing from the pain" Mono said looking at Aoi

Aoi flinched violently and went to scream but the cloth muffled it

"I can't believe that if I want with him that day, he wouldn't have saved me and gotten hurt worse then he could have" Z said feeling guilty

"It's....not...your..f..f..UGH" Aoi tried to speak but ended up screaming in pain

Yaza removed the cloth and looked at it sadly

"Aoi, calm down, your going to get worse if you don't" Yaza said angrily

"I...know" Aoi said between broken breaths

"At this rate his pain will stop his breathing, Nina, talk to him" Mono commanded

I stood in shock but walked next to the bedside

"Aoi, do you...think you'll be okay?" I asked scared of his response

"I...I know I won't...can I talk to you...alone? Please" Aoi looked at me with pleading eyes

"If that's what he wants, it's not for us to stop it" Monk said walking to the door
