Chapter 40 Goodbye

Louie POV

I woke up for the forth time that night

I was worrying about Nina, she was going to be away for quite some time and I was worried

I wanted to be able to say I was there with her the whole way to stand by her and keep her safe while she fights this battle

But I couldn't

I was having nightmares about it and I'd had enough

I got up and walked out my room

I walked to Nina's room, hoping she hadn't let yet by when I opened the door the room was empty, still her room but she wasn't there

I looked at her bed and there was a small box

I opened it and smiled at the contents

It had her key puzzle, her necklace I got her for her birthday and a bottle

The bottle was of some cold drink and I recognised it perfectly

"Earl gray? Or jasmine tea? We had this together when she couldn't sleep....is this a note?" I asked seeing a small piece of paper in the box

'Louie I'm sorry to have had to leave so suddenly, know that I will come back and that I hope this doesn't make you too sad but I'll come back, stay strong Onii

Nina~'

A single tear stained the page as I smiled at the message

I took the bottle and walked to the kitchen to warm it up to relax my nerves

I heated it up and poured a small portion of the tea and put the remainder away

I picked up my cup and looked behind me to see Ukyo and Masaomi talking

"Masa-Nii? Kyo-Nii?" I asked

"Louie? How are you?" Ukyo asked

"I'm okay.." I lied slightly

"Louie, don't lie if your hurting, we don't want you to be upset" Masaomi frowned

I sat at the table and sipped the tea without giving a real answer

"Louie, do you miss Nina already?" Ukyo asked

I nodded and looked up at my brothers

"I miss her already....when will she come back" I sighed feeling tears in my eyes

"Louie, she will come back, she's only going to see her friends for a few weeks" Ukyo smiled

*flashback*

Nina went to pack her stuff as would need for her mission and I went to tell the brothers

Ukyo had all the brothers round for a family meal with Natsume and Hikaru and Fuuto for once

We sat at the table and chatted while Ukyo grabbed the plates

"Where's Nina?" Masaomi asked

"She has a stomachache, she said she was just going to rest and see us later before she leaves" I sighed

"Leaves? Where is she going?" Natsume asked

"Oh! She was saying how she's going to see some friends from her gang" I lied slightly

"She didn't say?" Ukyo asked

"It's because she needs to see them as soon as possible so the trip was last minuet" I smiled weakly

"Well I'm sure it's just for a few weeks and she will be back soon" Masaomi smiled

"Yeah" I smiled

*flashback ends*

I felt tears in my eyes that threatened to spill from just the thought

"Louie, she's coming back" Masaomi smiled

I sipped my tea and tried to block out everything and think

'Nina could get hurt, die?! She could be gone forever'

"Louie? Whats wrong? Why are you crying?!" Ukyo asked Sitting next to me

I felt my cheeks and felt wetness

"Sorry, I just really miss her I guess" I gave a weak laugh

"Are you sure that's all? It feels like it's more then that" Masaomi crossed his arms

"It's...." I didn't know what to say

" louie, did Nina tell you something she didn't tell us?" Ukyo asked

"I" I started to sob

"She's going to try and beat the guy that wants to kill her and she could get hurt but, But she promised she would be okay, she promised she wouldn't go, wouldn't die out there, she can't" I sobbed

"Louie?! Its okay, don't worry we will get her back here before she can even turn herself in" Ukyo said hugging me close 

"She's in danger" I sobbed

"Masaomi, help me comfort him" Ukyo ordered

Masaomi hugged me from my other side but I felt so worried for Nina

"It's only a matter of time till something happens"

"She could come back....or die"
