Chapter 8 Nina's birthday

Louie POV

It was the next day after the blood test and I realised something.

When Nina came she said her birthday was 5 days later.

It's the 5 day mark today.

I got up and realised.
That means today's her birthday.

Nina had been sleeping on the couch since the bed she was on collapsed yesterday.

I walked to the kitchen where Masiomi and Ukyo were looking in disbelief at a laptop.

"Okay your telling me, they're related?" Ukyo asked.

"Who?" I asked walking to them.

"Louie?!" Masiomi asked looking at me.

I smiled and nodded.

"Yea I came to ask Ukyo to do something." I explained walking over to them.

"Yes Louie?" Ukyo asked.

"I don't know if you noticed but it's Nina's birthday, I was hoping I could make her a nice day, I'm getting a gift later and I wanted to try to make a cake? Maybe with you or Ema's help?" I asked.

"I didn't even realise the date, of course you can, I'll help you when your ready, maybe Ema or Lori could distract her since she normally follows you everywhere." Ukyo suggested.

Ema and Lori magaically came downstairs.

"Oh hey Louie hi Masiomi and Ukyo" Ema greeted.
Lori smiled and walked down with her.

"What are you three up to?" Lori asked.

"Planning Nina's birthday which is today" Masiomi smiled.

"Oh a birthday party?!" Ema started clapping.

"Not really a party but since she has never had one we're making a cake and I'm getting her  small gift" I explained.

"She's never had a birthday party?!" Ema sounded horrified.

"I never had a real party but I always had cards and a cake!" Ema seemed almost angered.

"Calm down, she was a orphan so can you blame her?" Lori said calmly.

Wateru came down in his bunny pjs and looked around.

"Hey what ya doing" Wateru asked.

"We're planning Nina's first birthday party" Ema explained making Wateru gasp.

"FIRST?!" He sounded horrified also.

"Yea I know?!" Ema and him were basically raging in the corner.

Nina walked into the kitchen seeing the sight she just turned around and went to walk off.

"Hey Nina! Is it true you never had a birthday?!" Wateru asked grabbing her wrist.

She nodded and Wateru dragged her to Masiomi.

"Can we give her 14 birthdays today since she never had one?!" Wateru asked.

"Wateru calm down you'll scare her, we can't give her a party unless she wants one, why don't you Ema and Lori go out and spend some time together if you really want to do something." Masiomi suggested.

Nina looked around and pointed at me.

"Sorry Nii I'm busy today, have some fun with your other siblings." I said to make an excuse why I couldn't come.

"You said you'd spend time with me on my birthday." she said in sign.

I did say that at one point.
