Chapter 16 Festival

Nina POV

After we all got ready for the festival we were waiting for Lori and Kaname

Kaname came up to us with Ukyo and they explained

"Lori isn't feeling well so he's staying here with Ukyo until the food poisoning goes down" Kaname explained

"Is he okay? Does he need me to check on him?" Masiomi said standing up from the chair he was in

"He said he was fine just that he wasn't feeling well enough to come to the festival" Ukyo said walking into the kitchen

"If you need me I'll be with Lori for tonight instead of that obscene ungodly festival" Ukyo said taking a tray with some warm water a cup and a small tea cup and walking down the hall

"Well we should have seen that coming" Azusa said fixing his glasses

"I feel so bad...when we get back I'm going to check on Lori" Tsubaki said looking worried

"Well, Lori said not to worry about him so let's just go have fun for the festival and then when we get back we can check on him" Kaname said opening the lodge door

They all nodded and we walked out the door

"Me and Nii are going to walk instead of drive, we can meet up before we leave" Louie smiled holding my hand

It would be only a short ride in the car but I didn't really want to drive

"Okay, toss me your keys and then we can meet you there" Hikaru said walking over to Louie

Louie handed Hikaru the keys and me and him were walking down the road when we heard yelling in an ally

I let go of Louie's hand and walked into the ally and louie followed quickly

"Nii what are you-" "shhh"  I said listening

"You fool! Nina was the one who was supposed to get food poisoning not her brother! It's bad enough she's here, even worse because she'll be on higher alert now!" A man was hitting a woman dressed in black with pale skin against a brick wall

"In sorry but it's hard to break in, change the dates and make sure she eats it before all her brothers which there are nine of do first when I'm unable to be seen by them!" The woman snapped

I looked back to louie and he was stood standing in shock

I knew where this was going, someone would get hit then they would see us and attack us

I grabbed Louie's hand and dragged him out of the ally

We continued walking to the festival and Louie was still silent

"Louie" I said snapping out of his weird daze

"Yes Nii?" He asked looking down at me as we walked
"Nina is a common name on the streets so don't worry about him, girls of the streets also call there gang members Brothers so don't worry about that either" I explained

"Okay Nii, as long as your happy" he smiled as we arrived at the colourful tents

"There you are, started thinking you died" Hikaru chuckled walking over to us

"Sorry we just got caught up in something" Louie smiled

"Okay cmon, we got a festival to go to, oh! By the way that Chiaki wants to see you at some point" Hiikari informed us

I nodded and started walking to the temple

I had slipped away from Louie for this so he could have some 'bro time' with the other 5 brothers there at the time
