Chapter 22 Onii's birthday

Nina POV

I woke up on the red couch and knew exactly what day it was

Louie's birthday

I don't know if it's his real one, if they just gave him one or if it's the day he was adopted, but that would mean it's the adoption date

You know what...WHO CARES ITS HIS BIRTHDAY

I got up early and smiled to see I was on time

I knew he had work today so I asked Ukyo to call the salon the keep louie till after lunch then send him back for my surprises

I was still happy it was his birthday but it's hard to be happy when someone like Coni, who I cared so much was in hospital and because of my somewhat violent actions I have to wait until I get a all clear on Coni's end to say I can see him, that means I can't see him till he wakes up...and that may not be for a while

I shook away the thought and concentrated on my task

I was in the kitchen with Ukyo and I was going to make Louie breakfast in bed

I was too short to reach the shelves so Ukyo had to help me and I could hardly reach the counter so he had to help me and get a stool for me

I made the breakfast and smiled

"Do you need help taking it to him?" Ukyo asked putting the tea he made on the tray for me to take to Louie

"I'll be okay" I said

I had started speaking to Ukyo because I started trusting him

"Okay, be careful, that tea is hot, don't want you to burn yourself on it if you drop it" Ukyo warned and I nodded

I took the tray and carried it to Louie's door

Because louie left his room open for me I opened it and looked inside

I had taken his phone at one point and removed the alarm for today
So that meant he was sleeping still

'Mewhaha I'm so smart'

I put the tray on his desk and walked to his bed

He was smiling in his sleep

I shook him lightly on his arm and he woke up smiling

"Why hello Nii" he said with a yawn

"Happy birthday" I said handing him the tray

It was pancakes with the syrup saying happy birthday

He smiled "thank you Nii, your too sweet" he said With a bright smile

"Did you make this yourself?" Louie asked taking a bite

"I made most of it but Ukyo helped because I'm short and couldn't reach the shelves plus he made the tea" I smiled

Louie sat and ate his breckfast and had his tea and smiled

"That was yummy Nii" he said petting my hair

"I wish I could spend my birthday with you but I have to work- wait what time is it?" He said almost alarmed because his phone didn't go off

"Don't worry, Ukyo called the salon, saying you were coming in late today because its your birthday" I explained

"Oh? Well I'll have to thank him" Louie said stretching his arms up

He sat the tray aside and stood up

I smiled and took the tray

"Let's go downstairs" louie smiled as we went to the door
