Alec ~ Anger Issues

PROMPT: "I'm not mad, it's just my face!"

Inspired by: Sebastain_Lightwood and emoBitch1 who's Clary trash talking comments made me laugh so hard that I made this imagine to utilise them (even though I do love Clary)

Clary had been getting on Alec's nerves a lot lately...which was not an unusual occurrence but it seemed that Alec was getting more and more annoyed by...well, by everyone.

"Babe, seriously, why are you so grumpy recently?" You ask him, rubbing your hand on his back in an effort to release a smudge of the tension in his shoulders

"What are you talking about?" he grumbles

"You" you sigh, shaking you head, "You're just so angry all the time recently"

"No, I'm not" he protests, getting, despite himself, angrier

"Well, what's with that face?" you question, gesturing to him, "You look mad"

"I'm not mad, it's just my face!" Alec shouts

You stay silent, raising an eyebrow at him, giving him a 'see?' look

"Okay, maybe I'm a little mad"  Alec admits, flopping into a chair and you chuckle, shaking your head slowly

"What's on your mind?"

"Clary" he huffs

"What now?" you roll your eyes

"She just thinks she knows everything" Alec complains, "Everything was fine here, great even, and then she just walks in here like she owns the place! She isn't even a real Shadowhunter, she knows nothing about us!"

"Babe, just...give her a shot. If I had just lost my mother, my father figure and aunt figure the way she lost Jocelyn, Luke and Dot, I'd be pretty frazzled, too"

"Yeah, but it's not just that" Alec sighs, "She just walked in her and claimed Jace, won over Izzy, befriended you and ran around ordering missions that were not only breaking the rules but totally unplanned, dangerous and rash!"

"Alec" you interject, "Is this really about Clary becoming a Shadowhunter, or is it about her winning over everyone you care about?"

"Maybe both" he grumbles, frowning

"Oh, babe" you chuckle, moving over to him and grabbing his face in your hands, "Don't be jealous"

"I'm not-"

I raise my eyebrow and give him a 'really?' look

"Okay, fine, maybe I'm a little jealous" Alec admits, "But Jace is my parabatai, Izzy's my sister and...God, it took me years to win you over"

"Maybe so" you nod, straddling him on the chair and smiling down at him, "But now you've got me"

Alec's mopey smile drops and he stare into your eyes longingly

"And I'm not going anywhere" you whisper into his ear, trailing your lips down his ear and to his neck, hovering them above his skin lightly.

You pull back watching Alec's eyelids flutter before you kiss him on the cheek and move off of him, walking to the door and opening it.

Alec's eye's shoot open, noticing that you've moved and are halfway out the door

"Gotta go. Training time" you smirk, "Bye, babe!"

"Ooh! You little tease!" Alec calls out to you, "You'll pay for that!"

And, later that night, you definitely did.
