Friends Forever?

Chapter 3

Three years later

It's been forever since I've been bound to this place but when I turn 18 I will be kicked out so that means that in two years, Killian will get kicked out. I couldn't think of not having Killian in my life he is my best friend, I mean we do everything together. We eat together, do pranks, get in trouble, do homework, I mean we literally like I said do everything together.

Today we were both laying down in our usual spot, under the tree. "Emma I promise that we will break out of this place and we will be free, just you and me." I look at him and laugh. "Oh you've made me that promise since I first arrived, you don't have to say it anymore I believe that you will find a way."

He laughs, "you don't believe me do you?" I laugh. Then we get up and we start to play tag and that's when someone pushes me to the floor. "What the heck?" "What's going on here?" Killian asks as he makes his way towards me. That's when Snart chuckles. "Snart why did you push my best friend to the floor?" Killian asks as he goes and picks me up from off the floor.

"What are you going to do about it?" I saw anger stirring up in Killian's eyes. I looked at him and he looked like another person, he then goes and punches him and they start fighting. "No Killian let him go it's ok!" I kept screaming then started to hyperventilate like crazy. "Killian please stop!" I scream. Then in matter of seconds they both get separated. I look at both of them and they are all bloody and bruised up. They are both sent to Mrs. Potts office.

I stood there confused. "Nice going there Emma," Angela says. "Go away." "I'm telling you Killian is deadly; I don't know he can be sweet but then he can destroy someone in a matter of minutes." I scoff. "Shut up Angela, you don't know that maybe he went through something long ago that made him like that." She scoffs. "Doubt it, when someone is like that it's because they were born like that, deadly and they will never change, but whatever."

I walk away and started to think. I mean she does have a point that he does have anger issues but it was all because someone had pushed me. He's protective of me. I know the real him and all these people are wrong. I know I'm 13 but I can comprehend these sort of things. The bell rings and we all go back inside. Once class was over and we were all back outside, I sit under the tree waiting for Killian to come out from the office.

Hours pass by and I finally see him walking towards me all bandaged up. I laugh then I pretend to talk on the phone, "Egypt, I have found one of your lost mummies, please come and get him, he might attack," and I hang up. "Sorry Killian I think I have to take you back"m, you know we can't have mummies lying around."

He laughs and extends his arms out, "I am Killian the Mummy and I have come back to life to take Emma with me to my tomb, Ahhh." I scream and laugh. "What happened?" He chuckles. "Ahh minor details, I have to clean all the chalkboards, and the desks of all the classrooms for the whole week." "Yikes, I can help you out, anyways it was because of me that you got punished." "No it was nothing, you're my best friend and I can't allow people to hurt you, I lost someone before and I won't...." he said and then stopped talking.

"I know you lost someone, you wanna talk about it." He shakes his head. I nod. "Well whenever you're ready to talk about it, I'll be here," I say and he smiles. "Thanks for defending me." He nods, "yeah no prob see you tomorrow, now I have to go and do something." I nod. "Night Killian." "Night," he says and walks away. 

A few weeks later

Ever since that fight Killian had, he has become very distant from me and I noticed he had been talking to some other girl. I thought that was weird that he's doing that but oh well, I guess he needs some distance from me so I ignore it. Days passed and nothing, he wouldn't speak to me he would just spend time with Kiara. Since we weren't in the same class, it's been harder to get close to him and talk.

Today after class I was determined to talk to him and figure things out. I walk out of class and go outside, I see him with Kiara and I see that they started to kiss. I gasp and stood there in a bit of a shock. Well he seems happy. I sigh, well if my best friend is happy then I'm happy. Kiara walks away and I go over to Killian. "So..." I say and I raise my eye brows up and down and laugh. "My best friend is in love, what a grand day." He nods.

"I'm sorry I've been distant I didn't know how to tell you about Kiara and I." I give him a baffled look. "Why?" "Why what?" I sigh. "Why is it that you didn't know how to tell me, me that I'm your best friend, you know that I'll support you in anything." He smiled, I'm blessed to have a friend like you." "I know I'm awesome." He laughs and hugs me.
