Friends Forever?

Chapter 11

4 months later

It's been four months since the engagement and it's been hectic, Milah asked me to be her maid of honor and her brother will be Killian's best man. I know it sucks but I couldn't say no, it would ruin Killian's happiness. Anyways I haven't been able to sleep or do anything since that night so today I decided that I will talk to Killian about what happened that night.

We were out walking by the forest near the house and decided this was the best time. "Hey Killian, can I talk to you about something." He nods. "You remember the engagement party?" I ask. "Of course," he says. "Well after everyone left, I took you to the room because you were drunk I mean like super drunk." He laughs and nods. "Well we um we sort of made out," I say as I closed my eyes. He gasps.

"What" I nod. "Yes, you were drunk and we kissed and we well let's just say we almost did it." He gasps. "I couldn't have kissed you or made out with you, I was already an engaged man, I couldn't have done that to Milah." I sigh. "I'm sorry, I just had to tell you." He looks down and scoffs, "why did you do this Emma?" I stay quiet, "why did you lie to me these months; you should have told me."

I'm sorry, it's just I mean..." He shakes his head. "Tell you what I need to umm can you please, I need to go," he says and he runs away and leaves me standing there alone. It hurt me that he just ran off but that confirmed me that he doesn't love me. I really needed to talk about this with him so I after a half hour I walked back home to check if he was there and nothing. I go to his office at the FBI and there he was but in another floor.

I'm waiting for him in his office while he was out and then he walks in and scoffs, "what do you want Emma?" I sigh. "Please can we talk about this?" He scoffs. "There's nothing to talk about, you lied to me and betrayed my trust, I don't want to talk about it, we are done, our friendship is over, please leave my office." My heart broke. "Killian....." He shakes his head. Tears start to fill in my eyes. "But Killian it wasn't just my fault..."

"I said goodbye Emma!" He screams. I walk out with my heart shattered. I went back home and I locked myself in my room. I was crying like crazy. I knew this would happen. This is what I get for falling in love with my best friend. It's night time and I'm in the living room waiting for him to come home and nothing. It's 1am and he's still not home. I mean one thing is saying that our friendship is over and the next is him not coming home.

That's when I hear the door open. He walks in and I smile. I look at him and he had a mad expression on his face then he walks up to his room and 10 minutes later he walks down with a suitcase and he looks at me with pain in his eyes. "Killian." He looks back at me then sighs. "I told you Emma, our friendship is over, you can stay here, this is your home but I'm never coming back."

He closes the door and my heart finished breaking. I run to the door and I lock it. I feel like crying but I cried way too much over this. He's over exaggerating, fine we made out but we didn't sleep with each other. I turn off all the lights and made my way back to my room.

I sat on my bed and sighed. I can't believe all it took was one make out session to end a friendship. I never thought I would lose the one person I never thought would leave me. Now I'm all alone. That's when my phone goes off. It was Ruby.

"Hey Emma what you doing?" I'm sniffling like crazy. "Emma are you ok?" I sigh. "Don't go anywhere, I will be there in a few." I hang up and I made my way down the stairs. I take out some ice cream and I go sit on the couch. Ten minutes pass by and I hear the doorbell ring. I sigh and opened the door.

"Emma what happened?" I sit down on the couch and give her a sad look. "You told Killian?" I nod. "And by the way you're acting he didn't take it well." I nod. "He ended our friendship." She gasps. "What the hell, why?" "He's mad because I kept this from him." She scoffs. "So he's mad because you kept secret the fact that he made out with you?" I nod.

"He's stupid what the hell?" I nod. "He's so stupid I can't believe he ended it, it's not like you forced him to kiss you." I nod. "He screamed at me, and then he came for his stuff and left." She shakes her head. "He's an idiot." I start to cry again. She hugs me.

"Forget about him, he's stupid." I nod. "He's my best friend." She nods. "Forget about him tomorrow we will have a girls day." I smile. "I love you Emma, I always will." I smile. "Thanks Ruby." She smiles. "Come on finish that ice cream and forget about Killian." I smile and nod as I wipe my tears.
