Chapter 28

4 months later

I'm sitting on the dinning room table and I stare at Aquas chair. A tear rolls down my cheek and I sigh. That's when Killian grabs my hand. "We will find her Emma." I nod and then rub my belly. "You need to take care of yourself because our little one is in there." I nod at Killian then sigh.

"Killian it's been 4 months since we've seen our little girl, 4 months." He nods. "Love I have my best agents working on it as well as myself." I nod. "I know it's just I miss her so much..." He comes and hugs me.

"I know Emma but she's a strong girl, I know wherever she is, she is fighting to get back to us as well." I nod as he hugs me tighter. "Now how about you get to work, I know you have a big client that wants to work alongside the Institute, so focus on that for now." I nod. "I love you Emma and I promise you we will find our daughter and bring her back home." I nod and give him a kiss.

He gets up and stares at our family picture. He looks back at me and I could tell he was sad yet determined to bring our daughter home. He leans down and gives me another kiss. "I'll see you tonight my love." I smile as he caresses my belly. He then walks out and leaves me sitting alone in the dinning room.

That's when I get a call. I look at my phone and see that it's Lacy.

"Hi Lacy."

"Emma hurry up, the client is here." I gasp.

"Tell him I'll be there, that I'm stuck in traffic."

"Will do, drive safe girl."

"Thanks."

I hang up and I get up. I grabbed my purse and made my way to my car. I went to go grab Aquas backpack then it hit me that I'm not dropping her off at day care. I sigh as I put it down. I then close the door to the house and made my way to my car. I get in and drive to work.

I get off and I run to my office. I see Lacy talking to our client. I go and sit down. "I am so sorry Mister?" I ask as I extend my hand out. The man reaches over to me and shakes my hand. "Damien Darhk, Mrs Jones." I smile. "Emma, it's just Emma." He smiles. "Well Emma I look forward in working with you." I smile as I lean back. "As am I."

Earlier that same day

Damien's POV
I get a tray of food as I make my way to the room where I keep Aqua at. I open the door and I see her sitting on the bed. "Here I brought you breakfast." She shakes her head as I place the tray on the bed. She kicks it and sticks out her tongue.

"I don't want anything." I chuckle. "Stubborn like your parents." She scoffs. "Not hungry." I nod and grabbed her arm. "You listen here Aqua, I will punish you every time you don't listen to me." I can see it in her eyes that she wants to cry but she doesn't.

"You will not eat for one day." She scoffs. "You can't, mommy said Im almost 4 I need to eat." I laugh. "You won't die if you don't eat for one day." She rolls her eyes. "Whatever mommy and daddy will come and save me." I laugh. "Oh now that you're speaking of your parents, I will be seeing your mommy today." She smiles. "You're taking me back?" I chuckle.

"You stupid girl, you will never see your mommy again." She runs towards me and kicks me. I pull her hair and she yelps. "Look I don't care that you're almost a four year old you understand me perfectly so..." I say and push her to the floor. That's when I see her starting to cry.

"Cry all you want Aqua but one day you will kill your own father and you will see your mother die." She continues to cry. I walk out the room leaving her in tears. I go to my office and fix myself up. I love the fact that Emma's Institute is so foolish enough to take on strangers offers just to promote it more so the close I am to her the more harm I can do to her and get my revenge.

I make my way to her office and I am greeted by her best friend. "Emma will be on her way." I nod. "It's ok I know she's dealing with a lot you know with the kidnapping of her daughter." She sighs as she walks me to her office. "Yeah I know everyone is looking out for her." He nods. That's when I hear the door open. "I am so sorry Mister?" She asks as she extends her hand out to me.

I smile and shake my hand. "Damien Darhk, Mrs Jones." She smiles. "Emma, it's just Emma." I smile. "Well Emma I look forward in working with you." She smiles as she leans back on her chair. "As am I." This stupid fool has no idea that her worst nightmare has barely begun.
