The Academic Decathlon | P.P. (Part 2)

The day of the decathlon was here and everyone was nervous as heck.

Peter never showed up to the pool and I never saw him come back. I wonder what he was doing.

I needed to talk to him. If I never did my fantasy relationship would never become a reality.

I got ready and walked up to Ned and Peter's door. I let out a deep breath and knocked on it.

"Hey uh Peter?" I didn't here anyone say anything all I heard was shuffling feet.

"Okay I'm just going to talk. When I first met you I instantly liked you and not like as a friend as more than a friend. I wanted to tell you since the first day of highschool but then I saw how you looked at Liz and I knew I could never compete with someone like Liz...what I'm trying to say is would you like to uh-go to homecoming with me? And I know that I would never ask you if I could see your face but um yeah. You don't have to answer now. Whenever you can...uh yeah we should probably get going now the bus is about to leave." I walked away feeling good about what I had said and then Ned walked out of the room without Peter and my heart sank.

Ned ran up to me with a huge smile.

"You like Peter!" He yelled.

"Yeah where uh where is he did he hear me say that I did?"

I definitely am starting to wish I didn't say anything. I'm so stupid.

"Oh he's uh not here?" He said quietly.

I gave him an evil glare "what do you mean he's not here?"

He didn't have any excuses and finally he told me the truth.

"Okay he's Spider-Man and he came on this trip because he needed to fight some bad guys and he was supposed to be here but he got caught up and don't tell him I told you because he would kill me!" He said it so fast that I knew this was a secret he must have been keeping for him for a while.

"Okay Ned calm down...huh Peter Parker is Spider-Man I never would have guessed that."

"Also uh I think he likes you too but that doesn't matter right now."

"Wait really!?"

"Yeah I mean he talks about Liz a lot but he talks about you a lot too so I can't really figure out how he likes more."

"Oh.."

We just stood there in silence until Liz rounded all of us up on the bus to the Academic Decathlon which was pretty nerve wracking especially since our best teammate wasn't there, but in the end Michelle won it for us. It was amazing.

For a little fun we decided to go to the Washington Monument. We went inside the elevator to get to the top floor as a lady was talking about the monument

"I wish Peter were here he would've loved this." Ned said.

"I'm sure he would." I laughed.

Suddenly we felt a big explosion above us and then the elevator started falling.

We all screamed like crazy and eventually everyone was trying to get out.

"Where's Spider-Man when you need him!?" I yelled to Ned.

Suddenly Spider-man jumped on the elevator and was trying to get us up.

"Yes yes!" Ned said jumping up and down.

"Hey hey hey big guy. Stop jumping!" Spider-Man said

"Sorry sir!" Ned said and abruptly stop jumping.

I now could see how Peter was Spider-Man and it was funny to think he was.

We all got off the elevator and lastly Liz was up to get out.

The elevator fell and she fell too, but Spider-Man grabbed her just before she fell all the way to the bottom.

Spider-Man left and we were all sent back to our rooms not to go anywhere but the hotel.

I was walking down to the lobby when I saw Peter walk out of his room.

He looked at me and smiled and I smiled back.

He walked up to me. "Hey."

"Hey." I said as he put his hands in his pockets.

"So yeah won huh?"

"Yeah all thanks to Michelle" I said as I tucked a hair behind me ear.

"Look-" we both started.

"Oh sorry you go first." I said.

"Okay um Ned told me that you uh.."

"I uh what?" I said not knowing where he was going.

"That you like me."

I looked down to the ground "aw Ned I'm going to kill him ."

"Oh do you no-not l-like me?"

My eyes widen "oh uh no I do it's just that I didn't know if you liked me back...that's all."

"Well I-i do."

"Wait really?"

"Yeah I have since the day you joined team."

"But what about Liz?"

"What about her?"

"Don't you like Liz?"

"Yeah I did.." he laughed "then I met you. Look (y/n) I was wondering if you don't have a date do you want to go to h-homecoming wi-with me?"

I blushed "I'd love too..."

I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and whispered "Spider-Man." And I ran down to the lobby.

"Wait WHAT!?"
