Just Friends | P.P. (Part 2)

Seeing Liz and Peter together made me sad. I wish I didn't have to see them together everyday at school, but I did.

In the cafeteria, I did. In the halls, I did. At football game, I did. But any time I saw them together he would always be staring at me and I didn't know why. He was my friend, I thought we were a little more then just friends and after that day he told me he didn't see me in that way, my feelings would grow weaker for him, but little did I know his feelings for me grew stronger. Everytime I saw him staring at me my feelings for him would shrink, but his would grow stronger and I didn't know that.

I walked into the cafeteria and saw Peter and Liz sitting with her friends and today was the day I finally smiled at them because my feelings for Peter vanished into thin air.

He saw me smile at him and turned his head.

"Peter are you okay? You look like you're crying." I heard Liz say to Peter.

I sat down at the table behind them so I could hear what they were saying.

"Liz we uh-we need to break up." Peter said. It sounded like he was about to cry.

"What why? What did I do? Peter what did I do?" Liz cried.

"I know everyone says but it's not you it's me. Truly. I'm sorry." Peter said as he got up.

I was confused. Why would he break up with the girl he had been wanting to date for such a long time? I shook my head and began to eat my food again.

Suddenly someone sat in front of me. I looked up to see Ned staring at me.

"What?" I said as I ate a piece of chicken.

"You need to talk to Peter." He said bluntly

I laughed "why? How many times do I have to tell you my feelings for Peter are gone. They have been for a long time. I accepted the fact that we aren't friends anymore. I moved on."

"Well guess what. While your feelings for Peter are gone his for you are exploding like crazy. He's obsessed with you. Almost to the point were it's creepy."

"You're joking. Please tell me your joking!"

"I'm not."

And that was the moment my feelings for Peter Parker flooded my whole body causing me to cry.

"No!" I yelled as I jumped up and slammed my hands on the cafeteria table. "No!"

I put my hand over my mouth and ran out of the school. I sat on the steps and cried.

I told myself I was done with Peter. That I wasn't going to ever like him again and yet there I was crying because I liked him yet again. He hurt me and broke my heart.

"(Y/n)?" I felt Peter touch my shoulder.

I wipe my tears "go away Parker."

He let out a deep breath and sat down next to me. I turned away from him.

"I-i broke up with Liz."

"Cool." I said shortly

"She knew why."

"Cool."

"She was alright with it though."

"Cool."

He moved me to face him "would you stop that!?"

His face went from angry to sympathetic in less then a second when he saw my face. I was a mess from crying like a baby and so was his, but he only cared about me.

"(Y/n)?"

I just hugged him. Then I looked at him and smiled.

"I love you." He said fast.

My smiled dropped and I stood up holding my elbows, my back facing him.

"(Y/n)?"

I turned and looked at him "why didn't you tell me that when I loved you back..." my voice cracked.

I still loved him, I did, but how could I just take him back like that?

He stood up "w-what?"

"I'm sorry Peter." I walked passed him into the school.

"(Y/n)! Come back!" He yelled running to me.

He caught up the me and faced me, grabbing my shoulders so I couldn't leave his gaze.

"(Y/n) don't you love me now?"

"Peter you broke me. Okay? You shattered my heart into a million pieces for months and you think that you come back now and try to fix everything!? No you see Peter you can't. I'm finally got over you! I am over you and you wan-"

He kissed me and I melted into his arms.

"I love you." He said. "I may have made the stupidest decision by dating Liz and not you but (y/n) I see that now! Everytime I saw you in the cafeteria or in the halls or at a football game or whatever my feelings for you grew stronger and stronger. I realized how much I needed and loved you because you let me go. And if you don't want to date me I get that, b-"

"Just shut up and kiss me Parker."

He smiled and kissed me again.

"So what are we?" He asked

"I don't know but we are more then just friends right?"

He laughed

"Oh we are way past being just friends."
