"Delilah, there is something you need to know. You are not only werewolf but vampire. You see sweetheart. You are my daughter and the Moon God's."

Valera looks at me shocked then in anger.

"My father would never do such a thing with you, the Vampire Goddess."

Her voice drips out anger that makes me get behind Kingston.

The Vampire Goddess smiles.

"You don't know much about the gods dear. If you went down the family tree all of us are connected somehow. But, Delilah is my daughter. My one and only."

Kingston grabs my arm pulling me towards him.

The Vampire Goddess smiles sadly.

"Don't worry, I'm not here to take her from you. I'm just here to deliver a message."

She turns to Valera.

"You must fight Delilah to death at the end of the war. Only then will your mother be released from the death trap she is in. Maverick, I only let you out so that you can teach Delilah how to find her powers."

Maverick looks at her in anger and growls.

"Why would I help you?"

The Vampire Goddess begins to rise back up into the sky.

"Because this isn't what it looks like."

Before she disappears, she looks down on me.

"Delilah, do the right thing. Remember this isn't what it seems like."

Then she's gone.

Valera looks at me like she wants to kill me now but then she goes deep into thought.

"My mother said the same thing to me last time I saw her. She said this isn't what it looks like. Don't be deceived. Delilah I think we need to work together and at the end we will know what we need to do."

I nod in agreement. Partly because she scary when she's mad and because I don't want to die right now.
