We get back to his home and I sit down in a chair in the kitchen.
I glare at Derek for thirty minutes. Finally, he just sits down and stares at me.
"What Delilah? Why are you looking at me like that?"
I decided to tell him what is on my mind.
"I've decided I don't want a mate. All I need to worry about is the war right now anyways."
Derek laughs. Then realizes I'm serious.
"Delilah, we're mates. You can't just walk away from me like that."
I lower my head.
"It's for the best, Derek. I'm not really wife material anyways. I'm sorry."
He stands up real fast.
"NO!!" I flinch back.
"I won't allow you to leave me."
Reece is suddenly in the room and holding me.
"SERIOUSLY DEREK!!"
He looks at me with no emotion on his face.
"Delilah its for your own good."
Reece takes me to my room and guards the door and another guard watches my window.
Great now I'm stuck here.
I lay down on my bed trying to figure out when to make my next move.
After about half a day I get the routine the guards are going through. That leaves me with a thirty second break for the window and minute for my bedroom door.
Clearly the window is the best option.
When the coast is clear I open my window, and run fast towards the wolf territory border. Once I cross over my scent gets mingled with all the other wolves who are rogues. The only person who could find me at that point would be Derek and I doubt he'll keep looking for me.
I can hear Derek howl as get closer to the wolf border. He and his team are gaining on me. Just a few more steps.. almost there.. made it.
Once I cross over I run faster than I ever had to get away from Derek.
My wolf whimpers at the distance between us but I ignore her.
I can hear a sad and angry howl coming from the other side of the border.
Rogues are dangerous. Michael told me they are very unpredictable. Some rogues are nice others are savages. I start to walk into what looks like a camp and become blinded by a light. Then a couple of people grab me dragging me somewhere.
I can see clearly now as I sit inside a giant tent.
Someone walks in. A big someone.
"Hello, miss. My name Isaac."
Oh no he's the Rogue King. Michael told me he's evil and that I should never come in contact with him.
I show no fear towards him knowing fully well I am of a higher rank then he'll ever be.
"I am Delilah daughter of the Moon God and Vampire Goddess."
For a moment shock and fear fill his eyes bit it quickly fades.
"So you're the one Valera needs to stop this war."
Great not only is he evil, he's on Valera's side.
"You sure are a cutie. Instead of handing you over to her. I think I'm gonna keep you. You will be made my mate."
Why can't I just get away from men.. they think I'm a piece of property.
I roll my eyes.
"Nah, I think I'll pass."
He laughs. "No, I'm going to make sure you're mine.
I gulp. Crap. Maybe I should have stayed with Derek for just a little longer.
Pic of Rogue king at top^ I know ya'll want to visualize lol
