I watch as Michael closes his eyes and slumps to the ground slowly.
I hold him in my arms. Crying and grasping his limp hand.
I just lost my only brother.

I hear a growl and the knife goes flying out of my hand.
Suddenly I'm being pulled into an embrace.
I begin to cry into his shoulder. His?
I look up and see Kingston staring at me with tears in his eyes.
His hair is dripping from the rain and onto my face.
He softly takes my hand.
"Why Delilah? Why would you think of hurting yourself?"
I lower my head feeling so overwhelmed.
"I just don't think my life is worth fighting for."
Kingston sits down quietly next to me.
"I don't think you realize how much you mean to everyone. You are worth fighting for. You mean everything to me and your brother. And what about that mate of yours?"
I look away trying not to cry.
"He said there are more important things than me."
Kingston growls.
"How dare he!! You are the most important thing in the world!"
I laugh quietly.
"Thanks Kingston. You know it's getting dark. You should probably get back home."
Kingston shakes his head.
"I'm not leaving you by yourself. Where is your brother?"
Just as I'm about to answer Michael comes flying into the cave.
"Delilah what were you thinking?! Don't you ever scare me like that again. You know I can't live without you."
Michael comes over and hugs me tightly.
He whispers.
"I don't know what I would do without my baby sister."
Kingston gets up and begins to walk out into the rain. He turns and smiles at me.
"Delilah, I won't let you die. No matter how hard the circumstance is."
Kingston transforms into his wolf and disappears.
I lean on Michael and slowly close my eyes, drifting to sleep.
