It's a very awkward ride for us. I try to avoid looking at him because every time I look up, he's staring at me. At one point, I had to tell him to keep his eyes on the road.

I begin to drift into dreamland but Troy nudges back awake. We're here.

Apparently, Vampires have more money than werewolves do because everyone here owns huge homes. It's funny how different wolves and vampires are. It's like country folks vs. city slickers.

Which I guess makes sense because Kingston has a very deep country accent.

Had. I should say. There is no more Kingston. A single tear rolls down my cheek.

I wipe it away before Troy can see it. Troy stops his car in front of a castle.

Like this feels like a fairy tale. I pause for a moment.

"Aren't we in America? How the heck is there a castle here?"

Troy laughs.

"It looks old on the outside but it very modern in the inside. I had this built about hm let me think.. about two years ago. I lived in Ireland with my father but I decided that I needed to be on my own for a while. So he let me come to America and rule here."

We walk inside and by modern he means futuristic. Most of the technology in here was not American. I don't think any country has any of this now that I think about it.

Troy walks me over to a glass elevator. It comes down and vampires come out.

My jaw drops.

"How in the world.. I could see right through it Troy. How ..how.."

Troy rolls his eyes.

"That's what happens when you live under a rock."

I growl at him.

He holds his hands up.

"Sorry Princess, I was just kidding around."
