Without Him..

The Stranger

The sky becomes dark and thunder roars through the sky. Then the Vampire Goddess appears in the middle of the road. This takes Valera off guard swerving the truck and flipping it over.

Somehow we make it out alive.

The Vampire Goddess takes me by the hand and whispers one word into my ear. Run.

Just as I am about to ask what that means, Valera comes out of the car screaming at the Vampire Goddess.

"You are ruining my plan! I would have finished her off and brought peace back to this planet!!"

Valera was going to kill me?! I realize now is a good time to get on out of here.

I run fast, my wolf taking over as I head for cover.

Valera is not far behind. Just as I think the coast is clear. A hand covers my mouth pulling me into a hole in the ground.

I fight the person off. This couldn't be Valera. This is a man's hand.

"Delilah, It's okay you know I would never hurt you."

I turn around to see this man come out of the dark part of the whole.

It couldn't be... Oh my goodness it is!

The black boots to the blue jeans pants and dark shirt. This could only mean one thing..

"Kingston your alive!!"

He chuckles.

"Yes sweetheart. I have been alive this whole time."

Relief suddenly fades and anger takes over.

"How could you make me think you're dead! I have cried nonstop over you.."

I can feel my eyes begin to water.

Kingston grabs hold of my arm pulling towards him.

"If they knew I was alive, they would have killed you. I sent my brother over to you when I heard you scream. He is the only one that knows I am alive. If they think I am dead, they won't suspect anyone helping you fight this battle. Besides that, the Vampire Goddess paid me a visit when I was in hiding. She told me to keep an eye on you but never be seen or heard. I couldn't mind-link you or physically help you when you needed me."

"This isn't what Valera and Maverick think this is. This is all the Moon God's doing. He did this to take revenge on the Moon Goddess for not getting him out of the Hell he created. Somehow he trapped himself. He had planned on putting the Vampire Goddess and the Witch Goddess in there so that the wolves would be supreme but the Moon Goddess didn't think it was right so when he trapped himself in there she never let him out. So take make a long story short. He has escaped and is causing illusions and wars that only the Gods and their children can control. Being that I am your mate and Maverick is Valera's, we can help because that puts us at equal footing."

He pauses.

"So this war isn't to help our kind but to save everyone else from the wrath of the Moon God."

I sit down on the ground completely mind blown.

So the evil is actually on our side. How will we ever known what we are doing is right?

Kingston sits down next of me leaning on my shoulder.

"I've missed you Delilah.."

I smile.

"I never stopped missing you, Kingston. Ever."
