Without Him..

I look at Maverick not hearing what he said clearly.

"Say that again Maverick."

He avoids looking me in the eyes.

"Kingston never came out."

I immediately start running in wolf form back to Hell on Earth.

I change back into my human self and put my clothes on quickly.

"Kingston!! Kingston where are you?!!"

I scream until my throat is raw.

The others catch up to me as I begin to head over to the building to go back in.

Suddenly Maverick pulls me back.

"Watch out!"

Above our heads are jets dropping something out of the sky.

I look up, then back at the building in horror.

I scream like a part of me is being ripped apart.

"Kingston!!!"

The building explodes and throws us all backwards into the trees.

It knocks me out cold.

When I awake Troy is standing over me sadly smiling.

"Shh it's going to be okay Delilah."

I begin to hit him knowing fully well I wasn't doing much damage.

"It is not okay!! It will never be okay. Kingston is gone and war is about to erupt between my kind and yours pretty soon. So No it will never be okay!!"

Valera comes and sits by me.

"Delilah, I'm sorry about Kingston. But we need to start moving forward. The wolves are counting on us to protect them. We have to go see the council now."

Maverick extends his hand to me and he pulls me off the ground.

I don't even want to be by Troy right now.

All I want is Kingston...

I look back one last time and whisper in tears.

"Kingston, to answer your question. Yes, I want to be with you. I just-I just..wish you hadn't walked out the door before I could say it. I love you. Tell my brother I love him for me."

I smile holding back more tears and nod at Valera.

"I'm ready.. let's go."
