Without Him..

Caught

I open my eyes when I hear a muffled voice.

"Michael!!"

Vampire surround us and Michael is gagged.

Then I see someone walk into the cave smiling at me.

"Troy?"

He walks over to me and my hair changes to its dark red color again. I quickly transform into my Vampire self.

Troy suddenly seems to snap out of his trance and so do all the other vampires.

He falls to his knees and grabs my leg.

"I'm so sorry Delilah. I never wanted to hurt you. Please forgive me. I'll never be able to live with myself knowing I hurt you."

My eyes soften as I hear the genuine apology come from his mouth.

Michael rolls his eyes.

"Untie my brother, Troy."

Troy quickly gets up and unties Michael.

Michael glares at him.

"Don't touch my sister you filthy blood-sucker. I will NOT let you hurt her again!"

Troy's eyes turn an icy black color.

"SHE'S MINE AND I WILL NEVER HURT HER... again."

Troy's voice softens at the end.

"I'm so sorry princess."

Michael snickers.

"I don't know how she can be yours if the werewolf claimed her."
Troy laughs.

"Kingston isn't even alive remember. Then again you shouldn't be either.."

Troy's voice trails off.

"I'm not talking about Kingston. I'm talking about Derek Neil."

Troys eyes turn blood red.

"My cousin?!!!"

Michael and I look at him confused.

Troy calmly explains.

"Derek is part vampire too. But his werewolf side is more dominant. His father was a vampire and his mother was a werewolf. This only happens to one couple every 200 hundred years. So it's rare. I'm surprised he didn't tell you."

I growl.

"I am too."

Troy takes my hand and I feel a shiver of delight rise through me.

"Princess come back with me. We were meant for each other."

Michael growls and snatches me back.

"My sister is NOT going with anyone but me. I don't trust you or even the wolves. I'm the only one that hasn't broke her heart of abandoned her!"

I look at Michael. He's right. He's the only one I trust. Well I probably trust Kingston too. Just not in a relationship. He's more like my guardian angel.

"Where are you Delilah?"

I'm being mind-linked by Derek.

"Never mind.. I've found you."

Before I can protest Derek walks into the cave and grabs me.

He gets infront of me.

"Stay away from her! I won't let ya'll hurt her!"

Derek shields me from Troy and the other vampires.

Michael rolls his eyes once again.

Troy throws him across the room.

"Cousin I love ya, but I will kill you if try and take my princess from me!"

Derek growls.

"YOU ALMOST KILLED HER! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I'LL LET HER NEAR YOU?!!"

Troy calmly walks over to me and I shrink back.. He did try to kill me. I can forgive him but I can't unfeel it.

Troy looks at me with hurt in his eyes.

Derek grabs my arm and I yank it out.

"You, sir aren't any better."

Derek looks at me confused.

"Delilah I would never hurt you. You mean the world to me."

I look at him angrily.

"I'm just not important to you."

He closes his eyes trying to stay calm.

"That's not what I meant love. You mean everthing to me. I would die for you. I was talking about this silly game you were trying to get me to play."

I glare at him.

"That silly game was to see if you actually LOVE ME!!!"

Derek's eyes widen.

"You don't think I actually love you?!"

I lower my head and whisper. "No."

Derek grabs me and runs fast over to a black truck.

I get thrown in and I can see the vampires running after us. Michael just starts jogging in the opposite direction.

He mind-links me.

"Sis, I think you should give Derek a chance. He's being sincere. He really does love you."

I scoff.

"Yea right."

Derek turns and looks at hurt in his eyes.

"What is it going to take for you to realize I can't live without you?"

I glare at him.

"By leaving me alone."

Derek smiles sadly.

"Well hun, that ain't happening."

He drives to the pack and the wolves fight off the vampires.

The last thing I see is Troy standing at the border watching me drive away.
