Chapter 21- Zillah
Captain Aaron and I sat across from each other in the darkness. I didn't need to see him as I talked, I just needed to know he was listening. With every few seconds that passed, Aaron grew physically closer to me, until when I ended he was at my side like an intimate lover. It was then that I could smell the alcohol on his breath, and I realized that all my talking had been a waste. He wouldn't remember any of it. I never thought of the worst he could do.
"Hey darlin'."He cooed, sending shudders through my body.
"Captain, are you alright?"I asked, though I clearly knew he wasn't.
"You're very perdy."He murmured, fingering my hair.
"Please, don't do that."I said, fighting to keep my voice level.
"What's wrong? No one's gonna hurtcha."Aaron slurred.
"Please Captain?"I said, my voice wanting to plead, but I forced it level.
"Now come on Zi, I'm not gonna hurt you."He said, fiddling with the laces on the back of my dress.
My hand itched to smack his hand away, but instead I twisted off to one side, and his had dropped to the sand.
"Please Captain, this is uncomfortable for me."I begged.
"Ah, I see the young lass has never had true fun!"He slurred.
His words were even more slurred as his excitement increased. As he grew excited, I grew scared. I tried to hide in the shadows, but somehow in his drunken state he managed to know where I was. Once again his hand strayed up to the laces of my dress, and this time I did slap his hand away, causing him to grow very angry.
"Listen you stupid wench. I get what I want, I want you, and I intend to have you!"I snapped, ripping at the laces before I could utter a word.
"Please, please don't!"I begged, my voice reduced to a whisper; one easily ignored.
Aaron only laughed drunkenly. Tears began to fall as I realized what he was about to do. I shuddered in the sand with nothing between me and Aaron besides his clothing, which was soon thrown to the ground with mine. Aaron slid on top of me, his sweaty body warm against my freezing one. I shuddered with horror, which Aaron easily mistook for pleasure.
"Wait up lassie! The real fun hasn't started yet!"He whooped, caressing my cheek.
The weight of his body pinned me down, and he knew that, and he took advantage of it. I felt his hands rove around my body, exploring places only my husband should see. I tried to roll out from under him, but he was a broad man. I shuddered, my lips moving in a constant prayer. I felt déjà vu, from when I was about to be hanged. This was much worse, this wasn't exactly life or death; this was my pride. My chest began to hurt from his weight, and my legs started to ache from being spread so wide to accommodate his large, broad frame. Aaron slowly slid down into me, and I smacked and thumped on his body to get him off me. All he did was chuckle, as he continued at his own leisurely pace. I felt him in me, and it hurt. Not just physically, but emotionally. I struggled away from him, but he was much too big for me. He continued to an unheard rhythm as I continued to hit him. I couldn't breathe from his weight on me, but he didn't seem to notice or care. As I lay on the sand with an occasional wave washing over me, I prayed, hoping someone would come and help me, but no one was awake. I took a deep, but painful gulp of air, and passed out.
