AN: Okay, I am honestly sorry for this chapter, but I don't want to add to much and make this chapter overwhelming. It's supposed to show the quickness and abruptness of the wedding.

Chapter 49- Edward
On our wedding day Zillah looked absolutely beautiful. Her father escorted her down the aisle until she stood at my side before the priest. After the moment of prayer, Zillah and I each said our vows, and her parents confirmed them, and Zillah was mine. She was legally and officially Zillah Dubois, wife to me, Edward to Dubois, and loving mother to Rebeka Dubois, and hopefully many more of my children. Once the papers were signed Zillah and I were helped into the carriage with Rebeka and took off towards the docks, with Zillah's parents behind us. It was all very rushed and tense, but once I stood aboard my ship, with Zillah at my side, things felt right. The money had already been hidden in my room, and no one knew about it, and everything we needed was stored with everything else. I stood aside as Zillah said her tearful goodbyes, and then helped her back on board as Spirit slowly pulled out of the harbor. I looked around and was relieved to not see Aaron's ship. Then I thought of the flip side; if Aaron wasn't in Port Royal, then he was on his way here, which meant we would pass him most likely on our way out. It was unavoidable, and I would just pray that it wouldn't decide whether Zillah and I continued or not. It felt good to stand on my ship once again, and even better to have my wife and child beside me. I looked over at Zillah to see her standing there in her wedding gown with Rebeka on her hip. She was looking back to the dock which was still in sight at her waving parents.
"We'll be alright Zi."I promised.
"I know Edward, I just, it's hard."She replied, wrapping her small arm around my waist.
It was then that I truly realized just how young, frail, and small she was. She was only 14, and couldn't be more than five feet! I marveled at her courage, and her strength despite everything that she's been though.
"Zillah, are you alright, like really alright?"I asked her.
"I'm fine Edward."She assured me, though she sounded very fatigued and her eyes looked ready to close.
"You need rest."I said.
"And?"She asked, slightly grouchy.
"I'll watch over Rebeka, you get some rest."I said, taking the child.
"Edward, thank you."Zillah said sincerely, laying her pale hand on my arm.
I kissed her and she went down to the bedroom, leaving me on the deck with my crew and my sleeping child. I followed Zillah down to my quarters and laid Rebeka in her tiny crib, before sliding into my bed beside the already sleeping Zillah. She stirred slightly and wrapped her arms around me before going back to sleep. I threw the covers overt the both of us. Things finally felt right.
