"Well here goes nothing," Shiro said to himself as he attacked the guards, destroying the stupid robots. He looked back at Pidge and asked her, "you ready?"
"I was ready the moment I heard that you three went missing mid-mission," she replied as they opened the door. What waited on the other side shocked them both.

Keith and Lance fought the Galra guards while Hunk freed the prisoners from their shackles. Once they were free of their chains, the prisoners ran to the middle building and grabbed what they could to fight with the paladins. Within the commotion, the Galra in charge and his guards come out of hiding.
"Looks like the fun is just getting started!" Lance cheered as his lion landed. He grabbed his bayard and turned to Matt. "Um, stay here. I'm going to kick alien butt." Matt only nodded as he checked out the features of the blue lion. "No, no. No touching Blue!" Lance warned Matt before running off to do what he said.
Keith's lion landed next to Blue and he followed Lance with his own sword bayard. Lance was first to attack using his blaster, covering for Keith. The red paladin was able to get close enough to attack, so he used his chance to slice n' dice.
The Galra commander fought back, but in the end it was Keith and Lance that won. The commander retreated into one of the bases on the opposite end with his guards covering for him. Lance let out a victory screech as he reentered the lion. "Princess, you can land the ship!" he said when he finished his extremely loud and annoying holler.
Matt tried his best to understand what exactly was happening with the information Shiro had told him every night for the last year. "Princess" should be Allura, the space princess that was found in a pod when the blue lion lead team Voltron to the castle. Every night when the prisoners were allowed to cease their work, they were thrown in a cell to sleep. There Shiro would tell Matt of Voltron's adventure and of Katie, usually at Matt's request. Matt's favorite thing about Shiro's recaps were when he spoke of Katie. By the things Shiro said she did, Katie had changed and never stopped searching for them. Soon Katie's stories were all Matt heard from Shiro, they both missed her.
Lance startled Matt's thoughts when he flew Blue back to the ship that Matt realized was the flying castle Shiro mentioned. The lion landed in a chamber, very different from one you'd see on a Galra ship. Matt was more than happy to escape the death trap called Lance's piloting. He exited before Lance could even leave his chair.
When Matt left the chamber, Lance raced ahead of him calling out, "follow me!" Very interested to see the ship's abilities and machinery, Matt followed.

After Shiro and Pidge gained entrance to the room, they froze at the sight it gave. It wasn't a mining facility, it was a weapon factory. The main weapon being something that could do what Voltron could do and more. On the back wall was a blueprint that covered the whole wall with notes littered across it. On the side walls were cells with prisoners at work building parts to the Voltron-like machine. In the very first one, was Mr. Holt himself working away on a metal slab covered in wires and weirdly shaped fuses.
"Dad!" Pidge called as she ran to the cell and tore off her helmet. This was the first time Shiro actually got a good look at her since she arrived in his life again. She really had changed a lot in a year. It made a blush creep on him, but he hid it by looking at the other cells, thankfully.
Mr Holt turned at the clang of his cell bars and saw a petite girl with chestnut eyes and green armor. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she smiled looking at him. Only one person could be this girl, his own daughter Katie.
"My little Katie!?" he croaked as he scrambled to touch her hand after all these years. He might've had his son, Matt, but his little girl and loving wife, he hadn't seen in years. Of course, only one stood before him, but nevertheless its still the same. He reached out and held his daughter's hand and wept at this chance.
"I honestly don't want to intrude on this moment, but we need to hurry. We don't know how long we have," Shiro called has he set the others free from their prison. Mr. Holt looked at him, "Shiro too? What's happening?"
"We are setting this whole place free, dad," Pidge said as she used her bayard to shock the scanner. The cell opened and Pidge flung herself at her father and gave him the biggest hug of a lifetime. It was good to have him back.
Well this one wasn't as all over the place as I thought it was. Also I realize how much I pick on Lance in this book, even when I don't mean to. I actually really love Lance, he's my second favorite (after Pidge). He is just so easy to pick on! My mother always says thats how I show my love, by teasing people. I mean I call my best friend Trashidy... ;;;; I am really trying to stop. BUT I'm sending my love to Lance in my own special way~.
