Keith didn't want to pilot the lion, but Lance told him that he had to since the lion chose him. Lance gave him plenty advice since the disappearance of Pidge and Shiro. It became a common sight to see the two together. Keith and Lance barely fought anymore and were like best friends that knew each other since diapers.

They walked into the red lion's chamber with Allura and Matt. Since Keith would be flying the black lion, the red lion was left open. Hunk didn't even want to try and Matt wasn't let in, yet again. Matt just wasn't liked by the lions unless their paladins were around. That just left Allura and Lance.

Allura went first, desperately wanting to join the battle in a better way then she already had, but sadly no matter how much she asked and pleaded, the red lion wouldn't respond. She exited and told Lance to try. Lance didn't think the lion would even let him inside, but surprisingly, the teen felt as if was calling out to him. With a heavy heart, Lance entered the lion Keith had used until now. Keith once was connected to it, if Lance could connect, wouldn't that mean they were similar?

The very thought of being in the same seat, same lion, same spot in Voltron both as Keith was enraged him and excited him. He shouldn't be getting Keith's leftovers, but at the same time it would mean he was Keith's right hand. Confused feelings erupted through the paladin's body as he sat on the seat. "Hello Red... do you mind helping shine some light on my place?" Lance slowly put his hands onto the control and the lion came alive. The alien-girl craze had just become the Red paladin, meaning Allura had a chance to be a part of Voltron. He hated to admit it, but he never had romantic feelings for the princess, but more of a sister-like vibe. Like she was something he needed to protect and be kind to. She did remind him of the sister and many other family members he left behind that day.

He rushed out and was greeted by Allura. "You can pilot the red lion! Congrats!" Lance didn't waste anytime and grabbed her arm, rushing passed Matt and Keith. He dragged the complaining girl to the blue lion.

"Princess, try the blue lion. I have to fly Red now, but Blue needs a rider. Allura this is your chance. You want to help, right?" Lance told her. Allura understood what he meant. She walked up to the blue ship and entered it. Placing her hands on its controls, she pleaded that it work. With one burst of energy, Blue answered her plead and awoke for her. She cheered as Matt and Keith entered.

two and a half weeks later...

"Here Beast, Beauty. Can you sign this for my son and this one for my brother? They have become great fans of yours," Peggle asked slipping a pen and paper through the small slot in the locked metal door. Pidge happily took both and signed each slot of purplish paper before passing it on to Shiro to sign.

For the passed two weeks they had become famous gladiator fighters that most of the crowd cheered for and enjoyed to see. Each fight was getting harder and harder, but with their new teammate, Two Blade aka Ivairan, it isn't as bad as it used to be. Like Lotor promised, they got upgraded each week when they won. The cell they were currently in was like a hotel room, but with a metal door unable to open from the inside and a glass window with bars on the outside.

"Hey do you not want mine?" Ivairan said, disappointed. Pidge shot him a glare with a 'of-course-not' written all over it. She will never forgive him, especially since his fancy blade had cut her twice now, sending her into another murderous dream about the future...

"I have a better question...," Pidge started as she turned back to the guard, "when I arrived, did the Galra do anything to me? Like inject something or install something?"

It was a weird question, but Peggle thought he knew why she asked it. "Yes you were. There was something that the wife of Zarkon requested be made eons ago. It took many failed test and mishaps, but it was recently finished when you fell into our hands. Half was ejected in you to see if it worked. I don't know the details, but it was made from a small piece of a comet Manerva brought. She said something about... quintessence...?" he explained.

Shiro gave Pidge a questioning glance and gave her back the pen and paper. The green paladin handed the paper back to Peggle and kept the pen low. Peggle is a forgetful Galra, and often let small objects fall into the hands of the three prisoners. He smiled and walked off saying a small 'thank you.' "Galra do have manners," Pidge mumbled.

"Why did you ask that, Katie?" Shiro questioned his girlfriend. She turned to him.

"Well I've been realizing things which each dream I've had since a few days after arriving here. They all seem to realistic and too close to home to be just normal dreams. Then I thought, 'what if they gave me something that'd make me see the different futures.' Then I realized with the dream I had last night. I'm not having possibility dreams, I'm seeing the future of different alternating universes and the possibilities for this one. You know the things Scav was always rambling about?" Pidge explained her hypothesis to Shiro.

"What? The thing that the annoying mentally ill alien was saying is true? Maybe Ivairan isn't like Scav...," Shiro mumbled. Pidge ignored the fight that began based on that comment and started to pry with the previous things she snuck in. Using the pen and the other objects, she created a new device that amplifies heat waves to create a laser, strong enough to go through doors.

"Guys stop fighting, this is our escape!" she said as she fired the laser ray and knocked the lock out, and waited for the door to cool before she opened it. The three checked the hallways then started running down the winding paths. "Give me a moment to see if my lion will respond to me so we can find it and leave!" Pidge said as she handed the laser ray to Shiro. "But first we'll need weapons. The gladiator room is right around the corner, based on my memory."

The room was unguarded and cheers could be heard from the other side. A fight was going on, which meant Lotor was distracted. Pidge snuck in while the boys watched outside. She saw the weapons she was looking for in a chest. She flipped it open and slipped cold, nervous hands in, grabbing the bayards and Ivairan's weird nightmare weapon, carful to not accidentally cut herself with it.

Pidge gave them their weapons and continued on. "I found Green!" she said as quietly as possible, though it was three octaves higher then what she wanted. Suddenly lasers shot at them. The dodged them and tried to block them the best they can. Pidge got shot in the leg, creating yet another wound on that spot after Ivarian's scratch.

Shiro grabbed his teammates and bolted for it. They turned the corner to see Green guarded by five Galra robots. Pidge, leaning on Shiro, wrapped them up in her grappling hook while the Altean idiot worked them down few by few. Suddenly more came from behind. Shiro and Pidge jumped into her lion, followed by a defending Ivairan.

She zapped them with her lion's mouth ray before flying out into the space, followed by Galra drones. She felt bad for leaving Peggle and Glutan behind to face punishment for their escape, but they couldn't stay there any longer. An ion canon shot at them, hitting them directly. Pidge was able to direct them far away from the ship before majority of Green shut down. She began to eject a distress signal in hope that the castle was nearby.

I learned today that I was spelling galra wrong this ENTIRE time XD. That's such a me move. Whoopsie, this is why I suck at spelling and have a computer autocorrect me every two seconds. I hope I didn't misspell anything else...
