Pidge and Shiro had set everyone free and were running down the still empty hallways with the prisoners right behind. The trip was shorter this time and they came upon the destroyed iron doors that were once the entrance to this place faster then expected.

"We have my father and interesting news," Pidge said through her communication unit in her helmet. She didn't get an answer until she bursted out into the light of the dead planet.

"Okay we will prepare a healing pod for Mr. Holt. He is in critical condition like you were told, right?" Allura answered, curiosity tugging at her voice. Pidge looked at her father who seemed very tired and hungry as he kept up the best he could.

"Not critical. He seems to only be tired and in the need of nutrition," the green paladin answered. Just then she saw Hunk about to enter his lion. Perfect timing. Her father needed to eat as soon as possible and have some rest. Though, she didn't like the thought of being separated again, even for a short amount of time. "Hunk take my father with you to the ship. He needs your cooking and sleep as soon as possible. His care before your own, okay?" she told the cook, giving a commanding glare. Hunk only nodded and ushered a reluctant Mr. Holt inside.

The other prisoners met with what Pidge thought to be their family out in the middle, giving hugs and tears of joy. She was glad she was able to help people be united like she was with her family.

She looked out to where she remembered parking Green, only to realize it was no longer invisible. Did the system fail? With the thought of fixing her lion's stealth mode on her mind, she parted with Shiro and walked to her lion.

She saw the black lion, with Shiro inside, impossibly fly over her with his only arm in control and head for the ship. She was about to enter Green and follow, when her arms were grabbed by two extremely tall people. Looking behind her she realized they were Galra. They picked her up so her feet couldn't touch the ground and began to take her away. That moment she, like many times, cursed her shortness.

Green came alive, sensing Pidge in trouble, and tried to save her. Though, Galra guards threw a strange shimmering net over her and kept Green from moving. How could a simple net keep her lion down? Pidge was in utter confusion until she remembered the thing Shiro and her found. They were finding ways to confront Voltron. They couldn't possibly build something that could actually stop Voltron, could they?

Shiro didn't hear Pidge say she was returning so he decided to look where he saw her last. He peered down out of his lion and at Pidge's green one, now being restrained by robot Galra. He looked for Pidge and saw her being dragged across the base. He couldn't just leave her after they were just reunited. Plus it would be his fault because she came to save him and her family. That fact alone would naw at the three for forever.

"Katie!" he called and flew after her. (His lion was on auto pilot since he couldn't pilot it properly for long.) His lion attacked one of Pidge's capturers, making sure not to hurt her in the process. The Galra got free of his attack, though, and gave a signal to five other robot guards just leaving a building he'd never entered. They threw something at his lion, but he dodged.

They already had Pidge's lion, he couldn't let them also have his. He also had to get Pidge to safety, though. He dropped out of his lion after telling it to go to the ship. It didn't agree until Shiro told it he would fly back with Pidge in her lion after he frees her and Green.

He hit the ground and rolled a few times upon impact to soften the blow. When he stood again, he used his only hand to control his bayard. Attacking every Galra robot that decided to approach him, he made his way to a screaming Pidge that was now being dragged into a building. He was about to strike one of the Galra holding Pidge, when one of the robots hit Shiro in the back of the neck with the butt of his gun. It was all black after that.

Matt, Keith, and Lance waited with Allura and Coran for the remaining rescuers and freed prisoners to appear. The door slid open and everyone, except Matt, looked up hoping to see Shiro, but only saw Hunk enter with a slim man, who was obviously tired and in the need of food.

"Where's Shiro?" Keith asked Hunk as the yellow paladin lead the slim man to the couch. Matt approached his father and hugged him. The two began to have a hushed conversation. Hunk gave Keith a 'what-do-you-mean' look after Mr. Holt was seated.

"Him and Pidge told me to go ahead and take Mr. Holt. Shiro was right behind me until he had to go get Pidge, or Katie, as he called her. No one else heard him scream into the communication do-hickey?" Hunk said as he began to head for the door. Only silence followed. "Well Pidge really wanted me to feed her father, so I gotta go cook." With that he left and headed to the kitchen with thoughts of Shiro and Pidge on his mind.

Allura moved to the castle's system controls and monitored the hangers for the green and black lion. Her face lit up and she looked up at the anxious gang. "The black lion just entered its chamber!" she exclaimed, but her joyful moment only lasted a moment, "that's weird, Pidge's hasn't entered yet."

Hehe I finally have the book planned out! I think it will go a lot smoother from here on out! I thought this randomly while writing: what if the lions talked to the other member of Voltron by spitting out a paper with words on it like a cash register would a recite?
