Pidge was in a healing pod, surrounded by the inhabitants of the Castle of Lions. Dimitri sat right in front of it, holding his flat palms against the tank. "How much longer?" he asked for the third time that hour. Allura sighed.
"Dimitri, why don't we go play with Uncle Lance and Uncle Kieth?" Allura said, tired of standing there waiting for the thing to open. Dimitri nodded and began to walk to Allura.
"Wait. When did I become an uncle too!?" Lance asked as he earned a deadpanned look from Allura and Coran, who had learned of Keith and Lance's make-out session earlier.
"The moment you started to suck Keith's face off with your lips," Hunk answered, still looking at Pidge. Of course Hunk was worried for his best friend. Lance exploded red with embarrassment. "Do we need to show you the pictures on Pidge's phone?" the yellow paladin added. Keith immediately shook his head no. Silence fell upon the paladins, only to be disturbed by something other then talking.
A boom shook the castle and Allura scrambled for something firm and unmovable. "The Galra are attacking!" she said as the shaking ceased. She looked at her fellow fighters with worry and shock, "Paladins get your armor and bayards!"
"I'll stay here for when Pidge wakes," Shiro said, sitting down in front of the pod. He had no idea how he was going to protect Katie without his one arm, but he couldn't leave her there. Allura nodded while Lance cracked a smile.
"Okay lover-boy," he teased, looking over his shoulder. He earned a 'no' look from Keith and that immediately shut him up. Shiro fired back, "you're one to talk." Lance turned red once more and marched out of the room with a look of anger and embarrassment. Still in the closet, eh Lance?
"I'll stay too!" Dimitri said as he continued to gaze up at Pidge's relaxed expression. She looked so peaceful in that tank, and to Shiro, she looked beautiful too.
"I'll bring your bayard. Your armor's arm can be removed temporally, so I'll bring that too," Allura said before she followed the other paladins and dashed out the door. Ivairan followed Coran to the castle's controls to help the lions from the ship.
Shiro waited, but Allura didn't return for minutes to come.
During this time, Shiro just sat there starring at Pidge in the healing pod. Her wound was deep and she had some bruises that were caused when she was slammed into the wall so the healing process was taking a long time. Dimitri sat on Shiro's left thigh, still looking at the tank. Now that Shiro thought about it, Pidge never saw Ivairan or Dimitri in her dream. They had also saved Matt and Mr. Holt, who now slept peacefully in their original rooms. What if what Pidge saw wasn't their reality, but one of the possibilities to it? Everything up to now wasn't what Pidge described. Shiro hadn't left, there was no rift in the team, and she hadn't killed Matt and her father. Now the Galra were attacking, but every evidence up to now wasn't there. Some dream didn't need to tell them their futures because they make their own future.
Dimitri started to nuzzle into Shiro's warmth. "Your warm, much like my father. Your scents are similar too," the Garla child began, "when I'm with you and Beauty, its as if I'm with my parents again. My mother died days before you three escaped. My father knew he'd be imprisoned or put to death after you three escaped, so now I have no one." Shiro hadn't known any of this. He knew Peggle was a smart Garla with a family, but everything was news to the one-armed ex-paladin. Shiro went to open his mouth, but the opening doors stopped him.
They thought it'd be Allura, but it wasn't the white-haired alien princess. It was the white-haired alien halfbreed, Lotor.

Pidge felt as if she was floating in space and when she opened her eyes, she was. In the distance was the Castle of Lions. She was in her green paladin armor and in her arms was Dimitri, wearing something similar to a fish bowl over his head. That's when she saw it- all the Galra ships blocking off the castle from wormhole jumping. She saw the lions, Blue, Red, Black, and Yellow, fighting the drones that approached them. Why was she here instead of fighting?
She felt something in her hands, other then the frightened small Garla child. It was her bayard and a note attached to it that read in a messy handwriting:
"Sorry to eject you and Dimitri into space, it was the only way to make sure you two survive."
It was obviously rushed. Underneath those words was a simple S. Pidge realized what was happening.
She'd had a new dream, and this was was her real future. Shiro would eject her and Dimitri into space so they wouldn't fall into Lotor's hands again. If she didn't awaken now, she'd be in a world without Shiro again. Where in the world did he gain the right to throw her and a seven-year-old into space without her permission? She had to wake up, now. She wasn't going to let this happen.
Her eyes closed and reopened into a new place. In her hands were nothing and blue erupted all around her like looking up to the sea's surface from below the salty water. She was in a healing pod. Outside was a blur of movement as she was pushed out into the light, only to fall into someone's cold arms.
"Hello, Sleeping Beauty!" Lotor cheered as he threw her over his shoulders. "Tell the rest that if they want her back, then give me the Garla child and the blue paladin, the original. I can tell that the blue beast holds a new owner. Bye now!" Pidge wasn't going to let this happen either. She woke up to save Shiro and everyone, not be captured by a bigger goofball than Lance.
Pidge used her newly healed leg to swing up at Lotor and knee him in the jaw. "Back off, Prince of Trash!" He jerked his hands to his jaw and Pidge scrambled free. She saw Shiro, bruised and hurt, shielding Dimitri from sight next to the pod. Pidge tried to run to him, but er feet were practically jello. She crawled to him and Dimitri.
"Shiro, are you okay? Dimitri you too. What happened?" she said, cupping Shiro's wounded face. He was in desperate need of a new arm and fast. Without it, he was half of what he used to be. He could've stood his own ground if he wasn't protecting Dimitri. Stupid kind, lovely man.
"He and the child will be okay, but you won't be if you don't listen to me!" Lotor called and Pidge felt something cold and pointy at the back of her head. Was this ego-filled idiot holding a sword to her head- her head! Shiro looked at her with fear and worry as she slowly pulled her hands away from his face.
"Good gracious!" Pidge called out as she stood, armor feeling like lead hanging off her body. She slowly turned to him with hands raised as if being patted down by the police. Suddenly a blue rope tied around Lotor's body. Allura had arrived.
I lost WiFi for a while, but yay its back! First day of school down and it was terrible, but I made it. Day 2 is tomorrow and I have art! Yosh!
