After Keith and Lance made Ivairan spill everything, dinner was canceled and everyone marched down to Pidge's lab. Inside she and Shiro panicked, searching for something like an answer. While they did that, the Holts felt their backs as if there was something there.

"What will we do if we can't find it!?" Shiro questioned as he looked through a pile in the corner. Pidge was at the table next to the pile being searched by the one-armed man. Pidge groaned as she kicked the table, tears building up on her lids.

"If we can't find the destabilizer then Matt and my father will be controlled by Galra and I will be the one to kill them, leading to everyone's ultimate death!" she cried, plopping on the floor next to Shiro and pulling her knees close to her chest. "What if we can't change the future we saw? What if you are the one to kill us all?" Pidge's already wet cheeks puffed out in desperation.

Keith looked at Ivairon who scooted away. He hadn't said Shiro was the commander who lead the attack that killed them all. He was about to yell at him when he heard Pidge start to cry harder. He turned to see the girl he always thought of as a little sister bury her head in her knees and start crying like a kid who lost a toy. Shiro rubbed her back and waited it out like it was something that happened often.

"She's cried a lot," Ivairan whispered, "each time she'd see a future where things end terrible. She'd cry for hours as Shiro sat there rubbing her back. Her cries at first were annoying , but as they continued, they were nothing but heartbreaking to hear. You'd think the ability to see many futures of not just your world, but others too, would be amazing. That girl carries a burden she can't handle." Allura walked inside and joined Shiro at Pidge's side. Matt and Samuel followed her example and went to Pidge, sitting in front of her.

"Pidge, don't cry. We all know," Lance started as he walked over to the spot in the corner, "we will help change the future because we're all affected by it. With all of us helping we'll stop the future." Pidge rose her head and wiped the tears that came with her shirt.

"Yeah! You're strong, Beauty, but with other people, your stronger then when you're alone. That's what I learned by watching you fight in the arena! We are all here to help!" Dimitri said as he stood in front of her and touched Pidge's face with both hands. She smiled.

"Thanks. All of you," she said, getting up and wiped her tears away, "let's find that destabilizer and save us. Though, Matt, father, you will have to be in separate locked rooms until we can find a way to get that demonic chip out, okay?" They nodded.

They spent hours trying to find that stupid device, but no one found it. Now Katie sat, watching the security cameras on her computer. She stared at the two screens that contained her brother and Samuel, holding a hand over the two.

The door swished open behind her, but she didn't care as she curled up in the chair. A large hand covered her own on the screen. "I still need to finish your new arm," Pidge whispered to Shiro, "I worked on it before you disappeared and got halfway through. I wanted it to be a surprise and gift." Shiro chuckled and placed a kiss on her head.

"Well, save Matt and your father first, okay? Then focus on getting me a new bionic arm," he told her as he pulled a chair to sit next to her, leaving her hand bare on the screen. "Woah, what's Lance doing in Keith's room?" Pidge looked away from the two dark rooms holding what was left of her family and glanced at the screen that filmed Keith's room.
