Keith walked into the control room, earning a few glances from the others in the room. He parked it next to Lance, rubbing his arm in awkwardness.
"We have been trying to locate Pidge and Shiro, but nothing has come up," Allura filled Keith in of the time during his little episode. He looked at the floor in disappointment. "Any ideas, Paladins?"
"Pidge? You mean Katie, right? Shiro said she used another name and snuck into Garrison...," Matt questioned as he and his father ate some space goo.
"Yeah Matt. Wait..., Pidge would have a few ideas...," Hunk said, sadness hinting at his voice. The other paladins looked at their feet in thought. The air grew heavy and the silence grew uncomfortable.
"Maybe Pidge's lab or room has some answers. She's always tinkering on something in there. Well was," Coran offered, trying to kill the silence. No one liked how he said "was."
"Coran that's an excellent idea! Pidge's work might help us find a way to find her and Shiro!" Allura cheered as she ushered them to where Pidge kept her projects.
"No one's worried that Pidge will kill us if she learns that we went through her stuff?" Hunk questioned in a hushed voice, as if he was worried the girl would hear from across the universe, or wherever.
"Naw," Keith answered as the door to Pidge's studies swished open.
----
"Someone's touching my stuff," Pidge said randomly before the daily questioning. "I have that feeling. I don't like it. I bet its Lance."
"How can you be sure?" Shiro asked the young paladin. Before she could answer the guards entered and took them by the arms. This time was different though. Instead of splitting up, they were dragged the same direction. Shiro and Pidge gave each other looks of confusion, fear, and worry.
Before they were dragged into a room and forced on their knees, the Galra placed handcuffs on the two. Pidge and Shiro looked around and spotted a chair surrounded by two Galra soldiers. In the chair was a young Galra male with long white hair.
"Hello, Paladins of Voltron. I'm Prince Lotor, the new person in charge. I have a job for both of you," he began with a sinister smile and eyes dancing with mischief. He stood and walked over to them before grabbing each of their chins.
"What do you want?" Shiro barked. He had a feeling he'd preferred torture over whatever this 'Prince Lotor' was going to say. Oh, boy was he right.
"Ah, always so quick to bite. You sure are a vicious beast. I see we also have the beauty to go along with it," he said, leaning in on Pidge. He stopped right before her face and Pidge gave him a disgusted look.
"Back off," Shiro warned. Lotor shot Shiro a smile and retreated back to his chair.
"I wanted you to bring me that delicious Blue paladin, but I have a better idea now," Lotor started, "I want Beauty to fight Champion in a gladiator fight and if you refuse, Beast will be missing a leg!" The prince started to laugh evilly.
"What!?" Shiro and Pidge screeched in unison. Prince Lotor only gave a wave as if to say take them away. Shiro and Pidge fought against the guards. "You can't do this!" Shiro shouted.
"Oh, but I can and I'll enjoy every second of it. Enjoy your last moments together before the big fight. Ah, it's my parents all over again!" the Galra prince said as Pidge and Shiro were dragged from the room, their shouts of rejection echoing through the hallways.
The guards took off their cuffs and threw Shiro back into the cell first. One of them look at Pidge and smiled, "this one will loose." He then roughly threw her in the cell, causing her to crash into Shiro. The two hit the back wall and fell with a grunt. Pidge got up off of him and ran to the bars, that were being locked by the Gulra guards. By time she reached it and clutched onto the bars, they had began to walk away.
"You don't know what I can do! Don't judge people by their size, grapes!" Pidge screamed after them as they walked down the hall, the one who roughly shoved her was twirling the keys on his finger.
"Well don't be so angry, Beauty. We have names, unlike the robots. I'm Peggle and this lovely mute man is my brother, Glutan," the rude Galra called out as they vanished from sight.
Pidge stuck her tongue out in the direction the two disappeared. "What kind of names are Peggle and Glutan, anyway!" she shouted, hoping they heard. When she had peace with her anger towards the Galra brothers, she turned to Shiro, "We have to fight each other tomorrow? What are we going to do?"
Shiro had no clue, but he may have to loose his leg to stop this terrible event from happening. "We could always tell Lotor that we refuse," Shiro said in a small voice. Pidge grew furious.
"I spent a whole year in a small house on a mountain just so my signals could be top-notch to find you and my family. I came all the way across the universe with our old team to save you, not you minus another limb! SO WE'RE GOING TO FIND ANOTHER WAY TO STOP THIS FIGHT FROM HAPPENING OR A SOLUTION FOR WHEN IT DOES!" Pidge furiously spoke as she stepped closer to him with each word until she was close enough to grab his collar and bring him to her eye level, "got that, pretty boy?" This was the first time Shiro could honestly say he was very afraid of Pidge. He only nodded and she let go. "Good." was all she said before plopping down on the ground and began to think of ways to stop what was approaching them.
Shiro sat next to her, to afraid to speak. Wait, did Pidge call him pretty boy?
Okay so I'm able to work on this before nightfall for once. Yay! Sorry for me updating so many times a day. I want to finish this book before season three comes out on Netflix.
