Chelsie' P.O.V.-

"Hey babe, I'll see you at the field, right?" G asks, as he comes running down the stairs.

"Of course. But why are you leaving so early?" I turn and face him. He still had a few hours before he had to be at the field.

"Ya know, work out and all. I'll see you later." He came over and kissed my forehead before running towards the door. "Love you!" He shouted, as the door shut.

"Love you too." I mumbled, before turning back to what I was doing.

I sighed and tried to shake the feeling that something else was going on. I know G. He wouldn't cheat on me. Would he? I know he wouldn't. We've been together forever now and he's never given me a reason to doubt him, so why would I now?

As time ticked by, I kept replaying the last few weeks in my head. He's been running out earlier than normal. Coming to bed late. Not telling me where he's going when he does leave. Ignoring my calls and texts. Maybe he is cheating? But one of the players would tell me if they felt something was going, wouldn't they? Or would they cover for him, like friends do?

I sighed again and brushed it all off. I'm just being paranoid and G has never given me a reason to be that way. I stood up and went up to our room and changed clothes for the game. A pair of jean shorts and my Stanton jersey. I slipped on a pair of converse and then grabbed my purse and phone before heading to the game.

When I arrived, I made my way to my seat and met up with some of the wives and girlfriends. We always sat together and that isn't usual. But normally I say hi to G and wish him luck before his game, only this time he never came over to see me. I chalked it up to him being busy signing stuff and taking photos with fans. That was, until I saw him talking and flirting with another girl. A much prettier girl.

He's just being nice. I told myself. He's just being nice. I kept repeating.

"Hey Chelsie, how are you?" Christian Yelich's girlfriend asked me.

"I'm fine." I said, lying through my teeth. "How are you?"

"I'm doing pretty decent. But I know you're lying to me. What's up?" She asked, whispering that last part to me.

I sighed and looked from her to G, who was still talking to the same girl. "It's G. He's been really weird lately. At first I didn't think anything about it, until now. It all adds up to cheating, but I know he wouldn't do that to me, but now that I'm sitting here and watching him, it seems like I might be right." I explained, playing with my necklace. The necklace G had gotten me for Christmas. It was a silver heart with 'I love you! -G.' On the back side of it. I never took it off.

"Oh. I see what you mean." She said, looking over at him, as he smiled at the girl and continued talking to her.

"Has Christian said anything about G acting weird lately?" I asked, hoping maybe G had confessed something to his best friend.

"No. Christian hasn't said anything to me. And normally he does."

"That's what I thought." I sighed and continued to mess with my necklace. "I just don't know what's going on."

"Maybe you should ask him. I know that seems odd and all, but I know how much you love him and maybe asking might clear something's up." She suggested.

"Or they might make things worse." I responded.

"You never know until you try." She gave me a small smile before the game started.

Maybe asking him wouldn't be such a bad thing.

~After the game~

Normally G comes and sees me before he goes down to the clubhouse to get changed, but he didn't. He stopped and talked to the girl from earlier. I was standing by the wall waiting for him and watching them. My heart hurt just watching them. I wanted to say something or do something, but I just couldn't. All I could do is mess with my necklace and watch.
