45.
Clearing my throat as I exited out of the bathroom, my booted feet making my presence known to the two men in the main room as the wooden floor boards creaked with every step I took. I looked around as Frank and Christian watched through the one way mirror that led to the room Aiden had placed Sarah in. We've been here almost an hour, Aiden trying to crack some sort of info out of her while the three of us tried to search through any information about 'Exodus'.
"What is this place, anyway?" I asked nonchalantly, watching Aiden walking over to the table of knives and other sorts of sharp objects that were perfect for an interrogation.
It was an abandon warehouse in the bad parts of town, one I've never heard of, but apparently the town has some local gangs involved within that try and keep the streets clean to their liking. Graffiti painted on the abandon homes and buildings inside the town as well as memorials for those who've perished from god knows what.
"CIA bunker." Christian mumbled.
"You're CIA?" I asked, raising a brow.
Christian just glanced over at me, without saying a word. I couldn't exactly tell if that was a 'yes' face or a 'no' face. He was pretty good at hiding his emotions, if the dude had any in the first place.
"Alrighty then." I leaned back.
Hearing the muffled groans and yelps of Sarah behind the glass went on for hours. I myself was getting bored and was fighting the urge of going in there myself. I knew Aiden was trained to extract information above anything else. He was a skilled marksmen, thief as well. Pretty much every girls bad boy dream come true along with that pretty baby face of his.
Seeing Skye was calling me, I took the call outside, squinting at the sun shining above us as it was just about noon.
"We're safe. I got all the kids to a police station. Made up some fake story that we were hiking and heard screams coming from a house in the woods."
"The cops bought that story?" I asked curiously, leaning against the wall outside.
"Eh, who knows. But they're calling all the parents and getting them home safely. I had them all memorize my number in case something went wrong."
"That's good." I nodded. "Hows Penny?"
There was a small pause before she finally answered. "She's happy. She's sleeping right now. She begged Clinton to be here when she woke up."
"You didn't kill him yet, did you?"
"Almost, he left the toilet seat up."
I let out a chuckle, hearing her sigh.
"I don't know what to do, Bella. I don't know if its him or - "
"I think it's him. Aiden said he was brain washed after they killed him and brought him back but I think a part of him remembered and put the pieces back together."
"Yeah he told me that, but - "
I pictured her shaking her head.
"- I can't wrap my head around the fact he's back."
"You can start by starting over. By the way, did you ever find Xavier?"
"No. He's missing isn't he?"
"Well if you don't have him and we don't." I sighed. "Wonderful."
"Anything come out of the bitch's mouth yet?"
"Nope. But - " I looked down at my watch. "- I'm going to go in there now."
"Good luck. Stay safe."
