When you sit and think about the events in your life, the engine purring in the background, you have two choices to make. One, is change. You can't always change everything, especially all at once. Gradually, you can change your life around. It's the little steps. Like figuring out if you really want to walk away from the life you created for yourself. A target always on your back. Blood always on your hands and stuck in-between your nails. Faces of the lives you taken will always continue to haunt you. That you can't walk away from.

Two, stay and continue what you have to do in order to get the answers. Thats also risky. Continuing to put your life as well as the ones you love in danger, and risk loosing everything.

I've always opted for the latter. To continue to fight, to find those answers. It's what I was trained to do since I could walk. And I was good at it. I could turn the car around, following up on potential leads as to what and whom was involved with Exodus. To find and help The Novak's, if they weren't dead already.

I second guessed my actions the entire way as I followed the signs back to Brooklyn. It was until I pulled up to the curb of my home and saw the text Frank send me that I knew what my next move was.

As I unlocked the door and walked in, I was surprised the see the place as it once was when I first moved in six months ago. I knew tomorrow a 'for sale' sign was going to be up in front, and some yuppie was going to buy this place for one point two million dollars. Way to much for what it's worth, if you ask me.

When I walked into the living room, a pair of blue eyes met mine in the darkness. Out of instinct I reached for my gun that was stationed at my lower backside. At first glance I mistook him for being Aiden, but as he moved out of the shadows, I saw the small beard that separated him from his clone.

"After all we've done together and you still want to kill me, huh?" He asked, raising a eyebrow.

I let go of the gun, knowing he was right. He saved me once now, but that still didn't give me a reason not to end him.

"You're still a vampire, and I'm still a hunter." I reminded him.

He frowned and took a few steps towards me.

"What do you want?" I asked, flipping on the light switch.

He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know." He said honestly, plopping down on the couch that still remained.

It wasn't mine to begin with, came with the house when I brought it.

"Well if you're seeking guidance, this isn't the church to do so." I rolled my eyes and continued to walk towards the kitchen.

"You're leaving with him, aren't you?"

I jumped slightly, not expecting his voice coming from behind me so closely. I glared at him from over my shoulder as he took a seat on the counter top while I grabbed two beers, passing one to him out of good courtesy to my unwanted house guest.

"What's it to you?"

"I was just asking." He curled his lip with an attitude as he popped open his beer bottle. "Don't have to be so rude." He took a swig.

"Well forgive me for wanting to be a private person."

"Nothing is private around me, sweetheart." He tapped his temple.

Yes, vampires and his ability to read minds. How could I forget.

"Stay out of my head." I warned with a death glare before taking a seat on the opposite counter top.
