Chapter 6

- Tamiko's POV -

In Front of the Boy's Locker Room

I sighed. I can't believe I have no friends... What did I do to deserve this?

"Good practice, everyone." Itaru opened the door and noticed me waiting. "Were you waiting long?" He asked.

"Nah." I focused a smile.

"You don't have to show any concern for her, Itaru." Jin walked out of the locker room. "She's like a gorilla. Nothing phases her." He smirked while looking at me.

I looked to the side. "Yeah..."

- Jin's POV -

While Tamiko was looking to the side, her eyes seemed a bit sad. And what's confusing is that she didn't even fight back! She must not be feeling well today.

"I guess, I'll see you around, Itaru."

"Kay."

- Tamiko's POV -

"Let's go home now."

Itaru smiled and I smiled back. "Yeah."

At the Train Station

I looked down at the railroads lost in thought. Do I really have no friends to talk to? Can I really not consult to anyone?

"Tamiko?" Itaru stood in front of me.

"Huh? Yeah?" What were we just talking about?

"Are you feeling okay?" Itaru looked concerned. "You've been spacing out a lot today."

I smiled and put my hands up halfway. "I'm feeling just fine. You don't have to worry about me."

Itaru put both his hands on my shoulder and stared into my eyes. "I have to worry! We are on the same boat after all. So it's normal if you're feeling troubled."

I tilted my head. What is he talking about?

- Itaru's POV -

I understand that we both haven't fallen in love, but I can't let Tamiko feel troubled at this. She's the only person that understands me. I don't want her to feel uncomfortable.

- Tamiko's POV -

At Home

"Thanks for taking me home again." I smiled.

"No problem. And also..." Itaru took my hand. "You can always take to me about things." My eyes widened. I'm not alone? "I'll always be here for you." He smiled. I looked down at our hands together.

"Thanks." I looked up. 

"And another thing..." Itaru took out his phone. "Can I have your number?"

"Oh, sure." I put in my number in his phone and so did he.

Itaru was at the gate waving goodbye and I waved back.

I sighed then smiled. I never know what's going on in his head. So mysterious. I don't know much about him yet, but I'll know more soon enough.

Neighbor's Door Opens

I looked over at the 2 houses to my left.

My eyes widened. I couldn't believe who it was.

It was Jin!

I'm pretty sure he noticed me because he looked at my direction.

"Tamiko?"

"Jin?"
