Chapter 23

- Jin's POV -

"Good morning, Itaru, Jin." A group of girls walked past us.

Itaru waved. "Good morning."

"Dude, why you so popular?" I smirked.

"You popular too, you know." Itaru looked ahead and saw Kyoko walking up to us.

"Have you guys seen Tamiko today?" She asked.

"Nope, something wrong?" Itaru tilted his head.

"I can't find her anywhere and she's not answering her phone." Kyoko started to get concerned.

"I'm pretty sure she's fine," I said.

"I'm just concerned that's all." She looked down.

"Stop trying to be a nice person." I made my angry eyes at her.

She flinched back and ran past us. "Sorry for bothering you..."

Itaru looked back at Kyoko. "Dude, did you have to be so mean to her?"

"She deserves it." I continued to walk forward.

"I guess, but..."

Flashback to Middle School

I was walking down the streets with my friends.

"Hey, we should join the soccer team in high school," Akio said.

"Really? I'm not really into soccer that much." Itaru and Akio continued to walk down.

"Ooooh, this is pretty cute." A girl was looking at one of the store windows.

I looked over at the girl. "Yeah it is, but it's really expensive." The girl's friend made a frown.

"I know..." The girl and the friend walked away.

I walked over to the store window that the girls were looking at. It was a couple of earrings shaped like a snowflake.

"Yo, Jin! You coming?" Akio yelled out to me.

"Yeah." I walked over to them.

The Next Day

"There's this high school that has a great soccer team." Akio looked through his high school directory.

"Dude, I told you I'm not that interested in soccer."

"We should join, Itaru!" He grabbed both of Itaru's hands.

"You're not listening to me..." -_-

"Oh come on, I think joining the soccer team might be interesting." I slipped in.

Itaru looked at me and sighed. "If Jin's joining, then I'll join too."

"Yas!" Akio was siked.

I looked back and saw the same girl looking at the same pair of earrings.

"You like those earrings?" I walked back and asked.

She looked up at me and smiled. "Yeah!"

My eyes widened. Her smile was like nothing I've seen before, it was pure.

"I'm Jin." I smiled and put out my hand.

She took my hand and smiled. "I'm Kyoko."

Kyoko and I both walked the opposite direction of Itaru and Akio.

"Jin! Where you going!" Itaru yelled and ran closer to me, but Akio took his hand.
