Chapter 7

- Tamiko's POV -

Phone Rings

"Ugh..." I opened my eyes. "Who's calling me on a Saturday..." I took my phone off the counter.

I answered the phone. "Hello?"

"It's me."

"Who?" I asked with barely my eyes opened.

"It's me."

"Who?"

"It's me."

"I WOULD REALLY LIKE IT IF YOU GAVE ME A NAME!" I yelled which woke up the whole family.

"Keep it down! People are trying to sleep!" My mother yelled from her bedroom.

"It's Itaru. Sorry to wake you up so early."

"Hey, Itaru?"

"Yeah?"

"If I knew you were gonna call me this early, I would have never given you my number."

"Oh... But I really want to..."

"Okay bye."

I hung up the phone immediately and went back to bed. Finally. No one to disturb me.

Phone Rings

Oh my god...

I took the phone off the table. "What!" If it's Itaru again... I swear...

"Um... Tamiko?" I recognize that voice. It can't be.

"Kyoko?"

"Do you think we can meet up?"

At Cake Shop

"So..." I looked up and saw Kyoko taking a bite of her cake.

Kyoko looked up and swallowed the piece of cake. "Hmm?"

"What did you want to talk about?" I asked.

Kyoko looked down at the cake with a frown. "I'm sorry about what happened the other day. Can you forgive me?"

I'm usually the type to forgive people right away, but this time was different. Why is that? "Kyoko..."

"Ahhh!" Itaru pointed at me.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked while taking a bite of the cake.

"I was gonna invite you here, but then you hung up on me!"

"Because you called to early." I toke another bite of my cake.

"Itaru!" Kyoko stood up from her seat and smiled.

"Oh hey." He told her. I looked up and saw Jin standing next to him. When has he been standing there?

"Would you like to join me for some cake?" Kyoko continued to smile.

"What are we? Chopped liver?" Jin and I said in unison.

"Yes." Kyoko smiled. We both sweat-dropped. Itaru awkwardly giggled.

15 Minutes Later

"I'll have the Chocolate Espresso Cake." Itaru handed the menu to the waiter.

"And I'll have the same thing." Jin also handed the waiter the menu.

Kyoko and I finished our cakes and decided to talk with them. "Espresso? You guys like coffee that much?"
