BBU

I go to school with a smile on my face. Dallon might actually feel the same. I still can't believe it. For now, we'll just stay friends. I don't want to mess everything up by rushing into this.

As I walk through the hallway, people are staring at me and whispering. My smile faulters. What happened? Did I do something wrong? Is Dallon okay? Why is there a chilled atmosphere all of a sudden?

After going to my locker, I decide to walk to Dallon's and find out what's happening.

All my questions are answered when I turn the corner to see Dallon talking with someone I thought I wouldn't have to think about. Someone I thought I didn't need to worry about anymore. Someone I despised in secret for years.

Ryan Ross.

He stood sideways leaning against the lockers. Right next to Dallon, who was getting a few books out of his locker. He carries a few in his arms so his back won't have too much weight on it. It's cute watching his long arms wrap around the books while he walks to class.

I snap out of my thoughts to see Ryan is actually the one talking. Dallon is just ignoring him. Why is Ryan actually here? Didn't he move away? I try to get closer without being seen by them. I hide behind the end of the lockers, with students still walking about. It's still pretty early, so school doesn't start in about twenty minutes. Dallon holds his books closer to his chest and starts to face Ryan. I attempt to hear what they're saying.

"You know what? I don't care. I don't mind. But when you're done having fun, I'll be waiting here in line." Ryan says and glares at Dallon.

Dallon closes his locker and sighs. "Okay. I'm not with anybody right now, nor do I want to be. I might, but not currently."

I nod to myself. The feeling is mutual. Dallon doesn't want to rush into anything, so neither do I. I turn a bit so I can get a better view. I see Ryan's left eye legitimately twitch. His fists are also clenched.

"So you and Urie aren't a thing? Shame, I thought I'd have to pry him off of you.." Ryan smirks.

Dallon narrows his eyes. "I've been considering being with him, actually. Even if I'm not looking for a relationship, I can still like someone. I haven't even thought about you since a month after you moved."

Ryan's smirk fades and he shakes his head. "That's not... that's not true, right, baby?" He tries to wrap an arm around Dallon's waist but Dallon flinches and steps away.

"D-don't call me that. And don't talk to me. I don't care if we have classes together or anything. Our relationship ended because you transferred. I moved on. Do the same, Ryan." Dallon says, softly.

Dallon walks away and pushes his glasses up. Ryan scoffs, but he's still standing in the same spot. I can see the hurt on his face even though he tries to act tough and careless. He really does still love Dallon.

But I do too.

I start to wonder if I love Dallon more than Ryan does. I'm pretty sure I do. Ryan's such an ass, though. Not as much as an asshole like Brent, but still a douche to a certain degree. I'm snapped out of my thoughts to see Ryan Ross himself standing in front of me.

"Hello, Brendon." He says with no emotion at all. Not even anger or bitterness. He has a completely straight face.

"Hi, Ryan. So you moved back?" I ask, genuinely curious as to what his intentions are.

"Yeah. Hey, you want to be with Dallon now, right?" He says, bluntly.

"Uh, yeah. I have been wanting to for a few years, actually." I confess.

Ryan scoffs. "Obviously. He's so dense sometimes. I knew you liked him before I even moved away. But just know that he still doesn't like you. Dallon was mine, and is mine. You don't have a chance now that I'm back."

"Actually, I heard that conversation earlier. He sure as hell doesn't fancy you anymore." I say with as much sass as possible.

The bell rings and Ryan leaves. I start to walk to first period when Ryan Seaman approaches me.

"Why is he here now? People are going to have to call me Ryan S. again!" Ryan S. groans. Before high school, everybody called Ryan Ross, Ryan and Ryan Seaman, Ryan S. It's good that their names are the only things they have in common. You can't mistake blue parted hair for brown wavy hair.

"He moved back here, and is still a douche." I spit.

"Seems right. Always been a douche, actually. Why did Dallon ever date him?" Ryan S. says.

"Actually... I don't know. Dallon, Ryan and I used to be friends, but Ryan was kind of bitter towards everybody except Dallon. I was a third wheel for a while until Ryan moved away." I say.

"Yep, I know that. Then Spencer and I came along and we've been friends with Dallon for a while." He smiles. "Even if Dallon's not social, he still has some great friends."

"He sure isn't the ordinary type."
