Things Wattpad Authors Do That I Hate

Chapter 14

Soooo, the topic that I'm going to be talking about is not something  that I hate, it's something that I'm a little tired of seeing.

Why does the main character have to be so goddamn perfect?

Don't get me wrong, I love a good cliché book every now and then.

I'm sure we all know this type of book:

Physical attributes: long, blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, curves in all the right places, button nose, pink lips etc
Personality traits: would never hurt a fly, orphan, always crying, is a wimp, too shy to stand up for herself etc

I'm going to say two very important points so listen up.

Have you EVER seen a female main character that is taller than 5:9? Hmm? I mean I'm a major shorty, I'm only 4:11. Tall girls deserve love too. The shorties are TAKING OVER Wattpad!!!

I can only count a handful of times when the female main character ISN'T a virgin. The 'player bad boy' is NEVER a virgin.

That's.

Some.

Real.

Crap.

Just for once, I want to see the main character have some flaws. Like for example, make her become an undercover stripper to pay for her tuition (lol just an example)

I'm tired of seeing the 'school slut' get dumped and treated like trash at the end of the book!  This type of thing  really pushes my buttons! I want to see Brittany the bimbo find true love with the nerd and give up her slutty ways!

Are you with me or nor?!

You guys are my fellow Wattpadians. We have to take a stand against all this phoney crap.

I know I'm not the only one who feels terrible after reading a book about about an utterly perfect MC. Sometimes, I just shovel loads of food in my mouth after reading those. It has nothing to do with self esteem.
It's just that some authors need to make their books more realistic so that their readers can relate.

You get what I'm saying my fellow buffalo wings and chicken nuggets? ( I really like buffalo wings and chicken nuggets)

So you wouldn't believe what happened! I thought that I deleted this chapter!  I had it written from yesterday, but I just saved it but I didn't publish it. When I went to look for this chapter today, I couldn't it. I had a mini panic attack, I almost crapped my pants, but luckily I found it!

The song at the beginning is a cover by Madilyn Bailey, one of my fav singers ever. I could listen to her covers all day. Literally.
