"You have flour here. And here." Sophitz

Sophie shrieked as flour exploded all over the kitchen.

Her parents were out of the house, and after she and Fitz finished their Cognate training, they decided to back a batch of custard bursts to surprise Edaline. Unfortunately, with Sophie being so clumsy, this was a very messy endeavor.

Sophie turned to Fitz and laughed. "You have flour in your hair!"

He ran his hands through his hair in a futile attempt to clean it. "You have flour here," he said, playfully poking her nose. "And here." His finger strayed to her lip, wiping away the flour. His hand lingered.

Sophie's heart sped up, skipping too many beats to count. He gazed into her eyes, and leaned in a little closer–

Bzzzzt. Bzzzzt.

Fitz pulled away, grabbing his Imparter up off the counter. "What, Biana?"

Sophie could detect a sharp edge of annoyance creeping up into his voice. "I'm in the middle of something. I'll talk to you later." He hung up, putting his Imparter back into his pocket.

As they went back to baking, they both remained silent, until Sophie noticed Fitz staring at her. "What?"

"Nothing, you just still have flour here."

"Where?" Her hand flew up to her face to dust it off.

"Here." He flung a handful of flour into her face. He took advantage of her moment of shock, wrapping his arm around her and pulling her into him. She gasped. He leaned in close.

"If Biana calls me again this time, I swear..."

Sophie let out a small laugh. Fitz gently planted a kiss on her perfect smile. She inhaled sharply, making him start to pull away, but she twisted her fingers in his hair. They stood locked at the lips for a few moments before they finally separated. Fitz flashed a grin as he wiped away a smudge of flour on her forehead, and they went back to baking.

I'm on vacation so I forgot to update a oneshot on Monday, which is when I will usually be updating oneshots. Anyway, here's this one! See you next Monday with another one! <3
