Sparklyuni23 requested a Sophitz first date with fluff. I guess this is kinda a date... Anyway, I really like it. Also, I tried to make it longer than what I've been writing recently. I hope you like it! As always, feel free to comment or PM me requests. <3

A week after Sophie revealed she liked Fitz, he finally came to visit her. He hadn't been rude, but it had felt like he was distancing himself from her.

"I have a surprise for you," he announced as he came into the room. "I would've showed you earlier, but it took me a whole week to prepare it."

"What is it?" Sophie asked, cocking her head, trying to see if he had something behind his back.

"You have to come see it." He grinned before holding out his hand to help her up from her bed. "Don't worry, I already checked with Sandor. You can come with me."

"For one hour only," Sandor squeaked.

Fitz nodded before leading Sophie closer to the window so that they could light leap. Just before the beam of glittering fractals whisked her away, Sophie noticed that the crystal was blue.

When she saw that they were in San Diego, she cried, "Fitz! The Forbidden Cities?" She hit him on the arm.

He winced. "Wow, you're strong. And don't worry; I got permission from Mr. Forkle."

"Really?"

"Yeah. He agreed with me that it was for a good cause." Fitz flashed a smile that made her heart melt and her cheeks burn.

"Anyway, the reason we're here is because this is where I met you. That was when you changed my life for the better."

Sophie blushed. Fitz reached out to touch her arm, cuing a chorus of gasps from a group of teenage girls. Fitz ignored them. "I'm serious," he said to Sophie, stepping closer.

"I was pretty arrogant before I met you. You gave me a new perspective." He leaned in and brushed a stray strand of hair away from her face, signaling another gasp from the group of teenage girls. Shooting them an annoyed glance he stepped away from Sophie. She glanced at them too, noticing many of them were glaring at her, while others were blatantly staring at Fitz. It made her uncomfortable.

Fitz pulled her behind a building, taking out a second crystal, clear this time. When her vision cleared, Sophie saw that they were at Lumenaria.

"Now, I know you have a lot of... negative memories of this place, but I actually have a very positive memory associated with here. This particular spot, actually. This is where you decided to trust me."

Memories of finally accepting she was an elf flashed through her mind. He was right. They had been standing exactly here.

He raised his hand up to her neck, holding her home crystal. "One last thing to show you."

After they leaped back to Havenfield, he led her up to Calla's tree. "And this is where I'm going to right a wrong."

Sophie was confused. She couldn't think of anything he had done wrong.

"A year ago we were sitting under this tree, and before Keefe interrupted us, I was about to do this."

Before her brain could register what was happening, Fitz had his hand cradling her head, his other arm around her waist. His lips were pressed softly against her own. His warmth spread throughout her body, igniting something she had never felt before. She kissed him back, tangling her fingers in his hair. She never wanted the kiss to end, but he pulled away.

"Sophie, I like you too. A lot. And I'm sorry that I never told you. I messed up. But now that you know, I was hoping you would sometimes tolerate spending time with me."

She grinned. "I think that could work."
