So I know it's really early, but technically it is Monday, so... here's the next oneshot! I'm normally not up at this hour (although I know a lot of you are...) but I have a sleepover tonight. Anyway, enjoy! <3
The Neverseen had her parents.
They had her human parents, but also Grady and Edaline.
And she couldn't stop them.
They had won.
"Sophie."
"Sophie wake up."
"Sophie wake up!"
Her eyes flew open, her heart racing and breathing ragged.
"You were having a nightmare. The Neverseen is gone. That wasn't real."
Sophie nodded as she slowly calmed down, leaning her head against Fitz's chest. He pulled her closer, tracing small circles and meaningless patterns in the small of her back until she could finally breath normally.
"You're safe now."
She nodded.
"I mean it, okay? I wouldn't let anything happen to you."
Sophie nodded again. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
Her eyes fluttered closed. She fell asleep snuggling into Fitz's chest. "I love you," she murmured one last time.
