"I'll do anything for you." Keefe and Biana

Biana lingered in the doorway of Fitz's room. Her brother wasn't there, but Keefe was sitting on the foot of the bed. She had finally worked up the courage to tell him. To put her out of her misery. "Keefe?" she called, her voice barely more than a whisper.

He looked up, seeing her standing in the doorway. "Oh, hi Biana." His tone was gentle. He must have sensed her nerves. That should have reassured her, but instead she felt angry. He knew how she felt. He knew he was hurting her.

"Keefe, I . . ." She paused, taking a moment to get her emotions under control. "I like you. You know I do."

He nodded.

"And you know that every time I see you with her–" Her voice cracked.

Keefe nodded again.

"Then why? Why do you do it? You flirt with everyone except me. Why can't you let me have even a moment of hope?"

Keefe stood up, walking a few steps closer to her. "Because I don't want to lead you on. It wouldn't go anywhere, and I thought it would be better to let you move on. Is that you want? Do you really want me to pretend? Because if you do, Bee, I will. I'll do anything for you. I do love you."

By now he was right in front of her, and he leaned in as close as he dared.

"You just need to find someone who loves you the right way."
