I've had a lot of trouble publishing this part. If you're seeing this, it means I finally got it to work! Yay!

@Sophitzforlife and @RandomGrl246 both requested a Sophitz. And don't worry, there will be a part two and three!

"What's wrong?" Sophie asked, tilting her head in concern.

"Nothing," Fitz replied, a bit more sharply than he had intended to.

"Fitz," Sophie said, nudging him. With a sudden gleam in her eye and a devilish grin, she leaned over and started to tickle him. With a surprisingly high-pitched squeal, Fitz bent over, squeezing his arms against his sides in a futile attempt to stop Sophie.

Sophie climbed onto his lap to get a better angle to tickle him. "I really regret telling you that I'm ticklish," Fitz said between gasps.

"I'm so glad you did," Sophie responded, before shrieking as she almost fell off the couch. She wrapped her arms tightly around Fitz's waist to keep from falling off.

Fitz pulled her closer to him as she started to slip again. As they both panted, Fitz felt a sudden and strange urge to kiss Sophie.

She looked so gorgeous even out of breath. Her hair felt soft against his arm, and her lips were parted as she tried to slow her heart rate. They were perfectly pink, and he was sure they would be soft and warm.

He shut his eyes and shook his head forcefully. Sophie was his friend. Where was this even coming from? He didn't know, but she seemed so small and vulnerable in his arms. He knew how strong she was, so to see her let her guard down made him want to cradle her.

Her braid had come undone, so her hair was slightly wavy. It framed her face perfectly and brought out the gold flecks in her brown eyes. He wanted to tangle his hands in her hair and wrap his arms around her and never let her go.

Clenching his jaw, he shifted her so she wasn't on his lap anymore. He moved to the other end of the couch.

"Fitz, I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything. Are you okay?"

He could hear the hurt and concern in her voice. She thought he was mad at her, and he hated that she did. If only she knew that he was only being cold because he needed to sort out how he felt.

"I just need some fresh air."
