  The lingering light was obliterated by the rapidly falling night. The once salmon and purple sky transformed into a vast expanse of jet-black that engulfed the town. A canopy of luminous stars materialised amongst the ocean of blackness. Some were dull, merely flickering into existence every now and then, but there was an adequate amount of shimmering stars to illuminate the dark, moonless night. The lake glistened, mirroring the dazzling assemblage of glittering stars and the luminescence from the restaurants and designer boutiques that lined the marina. The faint wind brushed against the water's surface, the ripples ruffled the stillness of the surface, and shattered the reflection of the earth.

Neil carried her back to the venue before placing her safely on the floor besides him. Everyone was looking at her as she shifted under their gaze uncomfortably she couldn't look at anyone, she was scared to see the disappointment in their eyes however they were all just worried about her. "Ma i'm going home." Not waiting for a reply she moved as she was the old lady's body passed her on a stretcher covered in a white sheet. She closed her eyes, a tear falling down her left cheek as a sob escaped her lips grabbing everyone's attention just as someone moved to comfort her she became stone cold shaking the hand of her shoulders and walking out. Neil ran after her as she sat in her car before placing her hand on the steering wheel hitting it out of frustration over everything but most of all letting Neil see her so weak, that wasn't supposed to happen she sighed closing her eyes as someone opened the passenger door before getting in. She opened her eyes only to find Neil. "Get out." She spoke in a dangerously low tone. "No." "What." "No i won't get out, you need someone right now and i'm willing to be that person." She rolled her eyes as Neil asked "Why are you being so cold." She grabbed the keys opened the door going to the boot of her car and taking out some flats she took of the blazer that was wrapped around her still and chucked at Neil before walking off. "Its the only thing i know how to do." Neil stood there watching her walk off, he needed to get through to her, but how?

Soon enough she was at her front door, she stood there for several minutes before realising that she was loosing it, she couldn't afford to be weak, not now she had so much to do, get Dayawanti behind bars once again, and also get justice for Neil and his family. She was tired of being the girl who loses everything and crumbles to pieces she needed to build her walls up once again, especially with Neil. She sat in the study room with a hole bunch of note, you could hear the pen scratching against paper furiously. Using the display board she looked on connecting pictures to pictures with mini descriptions. She stood back looking at it before collapsing into her chair, she rubbed her temples as a knock was heard followed by the door opening. Avni's eyes widened as Neil entered quickly she stood up putting a cover over the display as he looked at her, he sat down in a seat opposite her a she collected up the work on the table trying to hide it. Neil looked at her suspiciously - "What are you hiding?" "Nothing." Retorted Avni as Neil looked at her his police wala mind going crazy. Avni looked at him, as his gaze locked onto her form. She pushed her chair back and moved to the window "Your not going to jump are you?" Avni turned back and glared at him before sighing "Neil what are you doing here?" He moved forth, shoving his hands into his trouser pockets, he had removed his blazer and was standing before her in a white shirt highlighting his muscles and a bow tie. "I was worried. You need someone right now and plus i brought your car." He placed the keys on the table besides him. "Your wrong Neil." He looked at her "I don't need anyone." "Everyone needs someone." "Well i don't." "Bullshit." "Neil will you stop arguing with me." "Stop arguing with me Miss Ajooba." She looked at him. "Neil your getting on my last nerve..leave." "No...Not until we talk." "Whats there to talk about." "A lot. Avni...Please you can't keep hiding from yourself, you can't keep hiding from the truth, you can't keep running away." "No Neil...I get my strength from doing this...You call it hiding from the truth but i see it as a way to protect myself from this cruel world. I have watched Ayesha Ma's life get destroyed by this cruel world, i have watched fate take everything from her." She looked at him, tears glossing in her eyes "I don't want to be like Ayesha Ma." "Avni...you can't keep running away, you need a place to call home-" "I lost that a long time ago. i don't have a home Neil. I'm an illegitimate orphan, yes okay maybe i have a family which i love dearly but the home which i once had with you was destroyed and i burnt along with the ruins, and i'm sorry but i can't do that again. i need to block you out." He grasped her shoulder tightly but she quickly broke it with all her strength but he wasn't one to back down. He held her wrist causing her to halt before spinning her towards him. "WHY? I admit Avni i know i have hurt you immensely but i thought we were working through it-." "But that's just the fact Neil we can't work through whatever this is because the truth is your soon to be engaged to Rhea can you imagine how hard that is going to be for me. But your just being selfish, you want things to go your way and i'm sorry to say this but there is more at risk- she's my cousin sister, sure we haven't always got on but i can't just sit here and watch you play with her and then Dayawanti Mehta; you do realise that she is going to be after you, she's going to hurt you in so many ways, i regret taking help from you, i shouldn't have taken it, that was my revenge and i used you to help me win and....and i can't watch you get tortured Neil- she'll break you in the worst possible way and i can't let that happen, this is the only way." She was gasping for breaths as she shrunk to the floor. She tried to calm herself down but nothing was working, she could feel herself choking on her own breaths, it was becoming to hard to breath, her vision becoming blurry, she wanted to give in and let whatever it was consume her, but deep down she knew she couldn't not yet. She had to much to achieve and she wasn't willing to give up. Neil crouched in front of Avni hugging her, mumbling words to calm her down. Within a few minutes her stability returned as she took deep breaths as her head rested on Neil's chest. He looked at her as she looked up at him "Avni please...please let me in." She shook her head and stood up, a spell of dizziness washing over her as she almost collapsed to the floor, but two muscular arms that were always there caught her once again. Suddenly the entire family barged into the study room and looked at the two, Rhea, overflowing with jealousy grabbed Avni's arm "What the heck do you think of yourself huh...you are still after my Neil, Well Avni let me tell you this...he will never be yours..ever. All you do is destroy people's lives, first your lovely Ayesha Ma's then your dearest Neela Ma and your father too." Avni closed her eyes at the harshness of Rhea's word "But who would want an illegitimate thing..." Aman was about to stop Rhea but Avni held up her hand signalling him not to "I pray to god that this time Dadi is actually successful at killing you at least then we don't have to worry about the burden you are." Neela stood in front of Avni and slapped Rhea..hard. Everyone was shocked as Aman shouted "YES, GO NEELA MA." Ashok and DD clamped there hands over his mouth as Ali hit him in the back of the head "How dare you Rhea speak like that to my daughter, how dare you. She's not some piece of shit, and if i remember correctly you were the one who ran from the Mandap, you were the one who said you didn't want to get married and like a true sister Avni helped you by sitting there herself despite having seen marriages fall apart, despite having no faith in them she did it for you and you pay her back with your cheap words. Disgusting." That shut Rhea up. Neela turned and looked at Avni who once again had tears in her eye, Neela moved towards her but she stopped her. "Nahi Ma." Avni grabbed her phone and car keys before barrelling out of the door. Not sparring anyone a second look.

Hello people of the avneil fanbase. lol. sorry. thought i would try that out. So that happened. Where do you guys think Avni is going to go?? And also what are thoughts on the recent episodes-i think Aditi did a great job, her acting has improved immensely and toady's Avneil scenes killed me, the way Neil was like 'your not Ayesha ma and i'm not Ashish Mehta' and' Avni and Neil's home' and Avni....she seemed so broken today it hurt.
