Steve Rogers was confused, very, very confused.
A day or so after his meeting with Percy in Starbucks, Fury suddenly invited him to his office. Now that was already a bad sign. What was worse though, was that there was a group of them in his office. Now that spelled trouble.
Natasha was there, Barton was there, he was there, a guy name Bruce was there....and Fury was there.
They sat on the conference table, the air thick was confusion and awkwardness. Needless to say, they all had absolutely no idea what was going on. Fury stared at them with his one eye and offered no hint as to what was going on.
Steve wasn't about to speak up. Afterall, he was the one who had the least idea of what was going on. It had been what, a week or so since he had been introduced to modern society? The silence became stifling as if someone was holding a heater up to his face.
Footsteps echoed outside the door, and everyone almost breathed a sigh of relief when the door burst open, shattering the silence like a gunshot.
"Well then, let's get started," a confident voice resonated in the room.
"It's about time you got here, Stark," Fury said dryly, his eyes showing no humour whatsoever.
"Hey, I'm fashionably late," the man, Stark, smiled. His eyes scanned the room, and Steve had a feeling that he was seeing if they were as good as him. His blue eyes met brown. Stark smirked at him, his glasses dangling loosely from his hand.
He had a feeling they weren't going to get along.

"Alright Percy, what did you do this time?" Annabeth asked, her eyes gleaming with annoyance and uncontained rage.
Percy waved his hands around nervously. "Well I uh, was trying to clean the stables with the water...and it kinda.....exploded?" he offered weakly.
Annabeth smiled at her boyfriend, and walked slowly up to him, her hands reaching for a sword that so happened to be nearby.
"Well then Percy, I think we're going to have a nice long chat about using your powers indoors," she said pleasantly, a pretty curve on her lips. Percy gulped and promptly turned and ran.
"JASON, HELP!"
Jason could only sit on a log and laugh as Percy ran around trying to avoid Annabeth. "Come on Perce, you did bring this on yourself," he chuckled good naturedly.
"Yeah! But I was trying to help," Percy yelped as a dagger soared past his ear. "I tried! Blame Nico for popping up and distracting me!"
"Tell the horses that," Piper snickered as she walked up to them. Straw was still sticking up from her hair, and her clothes had tufts of horse fur sticking to it as if it was tape.
Percy ducked again, a shield slamming into the tree behind him. "I'm sure they'll enjoy the water. But that tree nymph might be annoyed," he mumbled, peering at the slight cut in the wood.
"Then don't duck," Annabeth growled, grabbing another weapon from her waist. Percy shrieked and ran behind Piper.
"I'LL REPENT, I'LL DO ANYTHING!" Percy cried, falling to his knees dramatically, and clutching Piper for dear life.
Annabeth smirked and crossed her arms. "Get cleaning Percy," she ordered, pointing to the stables. Percy whined and trudged miserably back to the sodden stables.
Piper and Jason watched their interaction with a small smile.
"I'm glad Percy's becoming Percy again," Piper whispered quietly. Jason couldn't help but agree.
