When Percy arrived at the HQ, he slipped off Blackjack and waved for the pegasus to go away. The HYDRA people still didn't know that he was a demigod, and he wanted to keep it that way. The only reason why he joined was to chase away his boredom.

And because it was pretty fun.

R was waiting for him, and he waved when Percy showed up in the courtyard of the HQ. Percy sorely regretted his decision in getting Blackjack to land so far away from the area since he hated walking.

"Hello, J," R greeted, heading into the building the moment Percy joined him.

"How have you been?" Percy asked him pleasantly, eyeing the red-headed man.

"Fine. Bored as hell, but it was okay," R replied.

They walked into the cream white building and were greeted by one of the HYDRA staff. Percy hated her. She was the typical overbearing and useless assistants that were seen in movies.

"Hi! We have an exciting mission for you guys today. Percy, you are going to make a slippery slide out of ice!" she chirped brightly as she handed over a tablet.

R snatched it out of her hands. He disliked the woman just as much as Percy did. As they looked over the details of the mission, R noticed a strange fluffball perching on his partner's shoulder. At first, he wanted to burn it, but then he decided to ask Percy what it was first.

"Hey, what's that thing on your shoulder?" he asked.

Percy glanced over at the fluffball nonchalantly. "Hm? Oh, this is my new pet that I mentioned."

"That thing is McFluffy?" R muttered in disbelief as he glared at the creature. "I was expecting more."

McFluffy, somehow understanding the insult, turned into a spikeball and lunged at R with a small shriek of fury. R yelped and swatted it aside, but the creature started to float in the air while shooting spikes of hair at the agent.

"Percy, do something!" R shouted as he refrained from burning the creature alive.

"Um, it's not trained yet," Percy replied hesitantly.

"PERCY!"

"McFluffy! Come back," Percy said authoritatively. McFluffy balked, and it slowly floated back down onto Percy's shoulder, turning back into a fluffball.

The assistant was standing awkwardly by the side, trying to join the conversation but not exactly sure how to. "Uh, Fred?" she called, and R immediately whipped around to fix his deathly glare on her.

"Call me R," he ordered her quietly. The assistant nodded vigorously, suddenly terrified for her life.

Percy chuckled at their interaction and turned his attention back to the tablet. Realising that he can't read it, he handed it back to R with a sigh of irritation. "Read it."
