"So like, am I in trouble or something?" Percy whispered not so quietly to the officer driving the car. He was glad they hadn't put handcuffs on him, otherwise, he would have freaked out even more.

Just like the last 20 times, the driver stayed silent, not making a single peep. "Are you even listening?" Percy grumbled as he sat back dismally on the seat. The doors were locked, the windows were in a fixed position, and there was absolutely nothing Percy could do.

"Can I have an apple?" he asked, eyeing the apples in a plastic bag lying on the front seat.

No reply.

He would have brought out Riptide, but he didn't want them to see the pen and take it away. Not that it would make any difference of course, but Percy didn't want to explain why the pen magically appeared again in his pocket. That would take a lot of convincing and a lot of Mist.

Opting to fall silent again and peering out the window, Percy sighed loudly to himself. He was so bored. Suddenly remembering that he had his phone on him, he reached his hand into his pocket to grab the device.

"Don't move!" the driver ordered him sharply.

Percy flinched in surprise and had to stop himself from grabbing Riptide and swinging it around. In fact, he had unbuckled his seatbelt and leapt onto the seat, distancing himself from the driver.

What can he say? Old habits die hard.

The driver didn't make any remark about his strange stance and continued to drive as if nothing had happened. Percy groaned and sat back down again in annoyance.

"How come, the only time you speak is to yell at me?" he muttered under his breath.

After what was minutes (but felt like hours) the car came to a halt, and Percy was brought out into the open air.

And then he was placed in handcuffs.

"Are you kidding me?" he exclaimed, not bothering to struggle. "WHAT DID I DO?"

Again, there was no reply. Gloomily, Percy followed the driver into a grey building with incredibly boring looking doors. He had just begun to realise how tall the building was when he was blindfolded

"THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!"

Now handcuffed, blindfolded and walked around by a buff security guard, Percy thought about all those dramatic movies where the main character was placed in these situations. Mind wandering, he began to wonder if he could somehow pick the lock and kick the driver away with a badass move.

"Sit down," the driver said.

Reluctantly and hesitantly, Percy lowered himself down, thankful when he sat on a chair and didn't fall over. The blindfold was taken off him, and when his eyes adjusted, he saw that he was in an interrogation room of sorts.

He was sitting at a table, and he heard the door click as the driver exited silently.

"Cool! So is this glass a one-way glass like in those movies?" he asked, walking to the glass and trying to peer through. The handcuffs were becoming restricting, as he wanted to stretch and do something

Seeing a glass of water on the table, Percy walked over and picked it up to drink it. As he did so, he pulled some water out and slipped it into the lock. Freezing it quickly, he figured out how to turn it without breaking the fragile ice, and managed to pick the lock.

'I'm so awesome, I got to tell Annabeth this,' he thought gleefully, waving the handcuffs around happily. Just as he was getting his phone out to play Colour Switch, the door slammed open.
