"Perseus Jackson," Loki said quietly, glaring at the teenage boy in front of him.
"Wonderful, you can say my name. What do you want?"
"I know who you are."
Percy sighed and lowered himself into one of the chairs in the room. It was similar to a bar, and he cursed Tony internally for having two bars in his tower. Actually, there might be three. "So? Are you going to rant about how amazing I am? Or are you going to complain about something useless?" he asked.
"My stupid brother has not realised your identity, of course, but may I just say that I will be so happy to bring you down." Loki smiled.
"Right," Percy nodded slowly, "I guess you're in the same categories as the monsters then."
"We have had reports of a boy doing great deeds down here on Midgard, but I couldn't guess that it was you."
"That's not creepy at all," Percy said, imagining people like Loki watching him while he was killing the monsters. "Totally not creepy."
Looking around the room, Percy saw that one of the windows was smashed, and instantly knew that it had been Tony who flew through it. Honestly, who else would be dumb enough to fall through a window?
"I see you took care of him," he said, pointing to the window.
"Yes, it wasn't hard."
"Well, he won't stay down," Percy laughed. There was a clatter of hooves nearby, and he saw Blackjack land behind Loki.
"It's time to say my leave," he said solemnly, watching in amusement as Loki whirled around in confusion, and as Blackjack clubbed him in the back of the head with a hoof.
"Hey, boss! Took care of reindeer wannabe here!" Blackjack neighed, looking awfully pleased with himself.
"Thanks," Percy chuckled, kicking Loki away and pulling himself easily onto the pegasus. "Did you bring your friends?"
"Sure did, but they're a little busy."
"With what?"
"Take a good look outside, boss. And try not to fall off."
Percy hesitantly peeked out from behind Blackjack's mane and almost toppled off the pegasus. "What the fuck are those?" he murmured, staring at the weird machine-like creatures fly around on their air motorcycles.
"LANGUAGE!"
"Steve?" Percy asked as he squinted down to look at the ground below them. Sure enough, the bright blue, white and red spandex stood out painfully on the pavement.
"I'm just going to pretend that never happened," Percy mumbled under his breath, urging Blackjack to keep going. "I'm going to stand up," he warned quickly before slowly pushing himself to his feet.
"Reall- oh ok. Um, go for it I guess?" Blackjack said in alarm, feeling the boy shift his weight around, trying to find his balance.
"Right, this should be perfectly safe," Percy muttered, unclasping the pin and letting it morph into a sword. He saw a blur fly past them and lashed out on instinct. His sword connected the metal, and there was a terrible screeching noise before the alien jumped out of the ship and exploded in midair.
Blackjack and Percy swayed in the air, Percy windmilling his arms trying to regain the precarious balance they had before. "Not a good idea, boss!" Blackjack neighed. The pegasus was right. If this continued, Percy would end up falling to his death.
Glancing around quickly, he saw Clint on a building taking aim at one of the robots/aliens/metal things. Leaning down and patting Blackjack on the head, he steered them towards the alien that was in the floating vehicle.
Percy braced himself.
The instant he saw Clint release the arrow, he hurled himself off the pegasus towards the alien. Hearing a crack of metal just as his hands connected with the machine, he pulled himself up and swung his leg over the side, kicking the dead alien off the platform.
Panting, Percy jumped to his feet, feeling the vehicle sway ever so slightly under his feet. He smiled in triumph. "Okay, Blackjack. Go help your friends out!" he called as he tried to figure out the controls.
He pulled on what looked like a joystick, whistling when the platform jerked forwards quickly. "This is easy," he smiled, setting off into the distance, making sure to circle above Clint's head a few times before he did so.
There was a flash of lightning in the distance.
"Thor must be fighting Loki," Percy mumbled to no one in particular. Actually, he was probably talking to the alien he was currently decapitating. After kicking the thing away and watching it explode in the air, he set off in another direction to save some civilians.
"Oh gods, what the hell are you doing?" he asked as he saw a civilian run screaming towards the alien. Slicing the thing apart, he pulled the girl onto the platform and headed off towards a building.
She screamed, crying and sobbing loudly. "I'm getting kidnapped by an alien!" she howled. Percy gave her the most unimpressed look ever, not that she saw of course, before letting the platform hover in front of a window.
"Get inside, it's safer," he said helpfully.
The girl started crying even louder. "I can't! It's too high!"
Percy looked down, saw that they were on the first level, and facepalmed. He saw yet another stupid civilian and promptly kicked the girl inside, flying away before he could hear her shriek. This time a civilian had decided that it would be a good time to be a hero, and he was valiantly fighting an alien.
Except the alien was already dead.
And that he was trying to fight it with a baseball bat.
"Hello, can I help?" Percy asked.
"ALIEN! DIE!" The man screamed, swinging his bat at Percy.
"Dude, are you blind?"
"YES!"
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to say that."
After he helped the blind guy back inside (not the same building as the girl), Percy looked around for something to kill. Unfortunately, there was a group of foolish people, who thought that BB guns would work well on metal aliens.
"I do not have the time for this," Percy said to himself as he floated over to them.
It's short, so sorry. This was kinda a filler, the next chapter will involve more serious alien team battle moments. I probably will update during the week :) I WATCHED JUSTICE LEAGUE RECENTLY, IT WAS AMAZING.
