Percy was lost. The hallways were empty and there was no one around. When he finally saw someone, it was a guard standing in front of a door. Deciding he could explore a bit, he moved closer. The guards weren't doing their role very well, he mused, as he easily slipped into the mysterious room. He only had to use the Mist a little bit.
Just a little bit.
After the door hissed closed, Percy turned to examine the room in more detail. To be honest, it was more like a gigantic hall rather than a room. In the center was a large cylindrical glass tank. It wasn't really a tank, but that's what it looked like to Percy. Maybe a fish tank...
Loki sat inside with an incredibly bored expression. So bored that Percy considered bringing him a Sudoku booklet or something. A platform led to the tank and platforms surrounded the structure. The entire thing looked like something you would find in the engine room of a ship; it had metal railings along the platforms, the really, really thin platforms.
"I see you finally came to visit," Loki drawled from the floor.
"Please don't make it sound like you were expecting me. That just reminds me of the Fates, and trust me, you don't want to sound like old ladies." Percy said with a shudder.
Loki gave him a perplexed look but did not bother to question his strange language. He had already noticed that Percy was a somewhat...unique. It wasn't just that strange aura or power he emitted in waves either, his entire personality was just special.
There really was no other way to describe it.
Percy sat down on the floor and crossed his legs. "You know, I'm glad that you're the villain."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, it's nice to have a bad guy who just wants to take over the world. It's a good change from psychopathic primordials trying to annihilate everything." Percy replied with a small shrug.
"Are you crazy?" Loki asked with a look of disbelief. "What goes on in your little mortal mind?"
"Not a lot to be honest," Percy answered after a slight pause. "Nope, not a lot at all."
Loki looked at him in utter confusion. "What are you in the first place?"
"Oh, I thought you would know, considering you're like a god or something," Percy replied, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "I guess not."
Racking his brain, Loki tried to pinpoint why this aura was so familiar. Coming back was nothing, he simply shrugged at the boy. "I cannot seem to recall anything."
"That's a shame, I was wondering how you guys fit into this whole thing," Percy said in disappointment. Fury had referred to Loki and Thor as 'demigods', but they definitely weren't demigods since Thor could wield lightning. Jason certainly couldn't do that, if he could, he would be far too overpowered.
That would be so unfair.
Loki also didn't really fit with an image of Hermes, considering they were gods of mischief. Hermes certainly didn't go around killing people and trying to take over the world. Nor did he go around wearing green armour and reindeer horns.
Standing up again and brushing himself off, Percy slowly walked back across the platform, still not completely trusting it to take his weight, or anyone's to be real. He waved at Loki.
"Well, I'll see you later," he said cheerfully before exiting the room.
Natasha passed him and gave him a look that clearly said 'what the heck are you doing here', but being a professional assassin and all, she didn't bat an eye.
